attention on one person who really deserves it—my mom.
(Topic sentences for 3 body paragraphs)
Body paragraph topic sentence 1. The first reason my mom deserves love
and attention on this holiday is the many sacrifices she has made for my
family.
Body paragraph topic sentence 2. The second reason my mom deserves
this attention is her tireless energy.
Body paragraph topic sentence 3. The third reason she is so special is the
great morals she lives by.
Please notice how each topic sentence contains a "signpost" word--"first," "second,"
"third.” Also notice how each sentence clearly states what will be the focus of the
paragraph—“sacrifices,” “tireless energy,” and “great morals.”
Be sure to put both signpost and echo words in your paragraph topic sentences.
