She serves on the board of the East Bay Community Foundation, The Harwood Institute, and Independent Sector. With over 25 years of executive management experience spanning the non-profit, philanthropic, public, and private sectors, Deborah has a track record of catalyzing change within organizations, and leading them toward greater innovation, accountability, and responsiveness. Kaushik Roy has served as the Executive Director of The Shanti Project since 2008. Shanti is one of San Francisco’s oldest community organizations supporting people with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Kaushik started volunteering at Shanti in 2004 and joined Shanti’s staff in 2006. He holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and is a graduate of the Metta Institute's End-of-Life Care Practitioner Program. He recently completed the LeaderSpring Fellowship Program and currently serves on the City of San Francisco’s LGBT Aging Policy Task Force. Mary Stutts, Vice President of External Affairs at Comcast California, has built a career committed to the pursuit of excellence. She has worked extensively in the health care industry, including corporate relations and public affairs leadership positions at Genentech, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Elan, United Health Group, and Kaiser Permanente. She is regularly featured at conferences and in broadcast and print media, and has authored articles for publications including Leadership Excellence and Entrepreneur magazines. Mary is author of the book, The Missing Mentor: Women Advising Women on Power, Progress and Priorities. Host Committee Co-Chairs Sandra Pham, Vice President at Kaiser Permanente, has a strong reputation in executive leadership, strategic planning, accountable care organization development, physician integration and alignment, business development, and financial management. Previously, Sandra worked in the area of international healthcare as a consultant for international relief organizations. Today, Sandra serves on the boards of LeaderSpring, Women's Initiative for Self Employment, and the Yale Healthcare Conference. As a leadership coach, Sandra helps individuals navigate transitions, unleashing their full potential and facilitating their ability to achieve their goals. Mahla Shaghafi, Senior Vice President at Union Bank, leads a team of specialists in wealth planning, investments, risk management, fiduciary services, and banking. She is chair of Union Bank’s Foundation – Northern/Central California, and is on the board of the California State University of East Bay Education Foundation, the Berkeley Repertory Theatre Corporate Advisory Council, and the Executive Council Women’s Initiative. The San Francisco Business Times named Mahla one of the "Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business" every year between 2009 and 2012, and named her the “Forever Most Influential” in 2013. Other honors include CSU East Bay’s Alumni of the Year Award in 2003 and the Women's Initiative for Self-Improvement Founder's Award in 2011.
