COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT
Bandari College has the pleasure to announce the launching of new
courses scheduled to commence in June 2013.
Applications are therefore invited from candidates who meet the
required qualifications. Deadline for application is 30th May 2013.
Certificate in Ship Agency
1.Name of the Course:
One Academic Year.
Course Duration:
Course Commencement Date: June 2013
Course Objective: This Course leading to a Certificate in Ship Agency is
designed to equip potential Ship Agents with relevant skills to enable them to
work in this specialized and complex profession.
The course explores these complex roles in-depth and looks at the commercial and
legal skills required as well as the new communications technology needed to be
competent in today’s market.
Course Methodology:
 The course has Eleven Modules.
 Ten Modules require the participant to submit assignments and
 One Module is a Case Study.
 A candidate will be required to pass a three hours examination in order to
complete a professional certificate.
 There will be two tutorial seminars which are meant to offer a chance to the
candidate to review and consolidate his/her knowledge.
Entry Requirements:
1. Certificate of Secondary Education ‘O’ Level with passes in at least three
approved subjects including English and Geography.
2. An Advanced Certificate in Secondary Education with at least (2) subsidiary
passes in approved subjects including English and Geography.

2.Name of the Course: Diploma in Security, Investigation and Property Protection
(DSIPP).
Course Duration: One Academic Year.
Course Commencement Date: June 2013
Course Objective: To offer specialized training on Security Investigation and
Property Protection to multi discipline professionals whose jobs require such
knowledge and skills.
The Course will take place in phases as indicated below and each phase will cover
one academic year:i. Basic Certicate in Security Investigation and Property Protection (BCSIPP)
NTA level 4.
ii. Technician Certificate in Security Investigation and Property Protection
(BCSIPP) NTA level 5.
iii. Diploma in Security Investigation and Property Protection (DSIPP) NTA
Level 6.
Course Delivery Methodology: The Course will combine classroom delivery,
interactive class discussions, case studies and field training.
Bandari College has qualified and experienced instructors who will lead and offer
guidance throughout the whole learning process.
Entry Requirements:
1. Certificate of Secondary Education -‘O’ Level with passes in at least three
approved subjects including English.
2. An Advanced Certificate in Secondary Education with at least (2) subsidiary
passes in approved subjects including English.
3.Name of the Course: Certificate in Environment Protection, Safety and Health
(CEPSH).
Course Duration: One Academic Year.
Course Objective:
i. To identify and comprehend basic principles and practice of environmental
health
ii.Utilize a broad scope of environmental health including the areas of water and
air quality, food safety, hazardous waste management, and radiation protection;
iii.Use multidisciplinary approaches of environmental health to protect public
health
vi.Describe the direct and indirect human, ecological and safety effects of major
environmental and occupational agents
V.Describe National and International Rules, Regulations and state regulatory
programs, guidelines and authorities that control environmental and occupational
health issues.

Course Delivery Methodology:
This Course delivered mainly through field training combining classroom delivery,
interactive class discussions and case studies.

1. Certificate of Secondary Education -‘O’ Level with passes in at least three
approved subjects including English.
2. An Advanced Certificate in Secondary Education with at least (2) subsidiary
passes in approved subjects including English.
At the end of the course successful students will be accordingly awarded with
either Basic Technician or Diploma Certificate.
