INTRODUCTION
The Maritime industry is an essential link in the modern
net work of global trade. It provides reliable sea
transport for almost any cargo to almost any destination
at a low and predictable cost.
Maritime industry being dynamic in nature, the industry
experiences constant changes in physical distribution
and transport technology, therefore demanding
compatible managerial skills. A wide gap exists
between the training needs and the training capability
and capacity.
BANDARI COLLEGE
Bandari College was established in 1980 as a training
and staff development institution for the Kenya Ports
Authority. The College today caters for the training
needs of the national maritime transport sector and is
also used as a centre to host Regional and International
courses, workshops, seminars and conferences.
The College is situated on the Southwest corner of the
port town of Mombasa, the gateway to east and central
Africa.
