Living costs for a semester at Ewha (according to a CUAS student who graduated from Ewha):
In total I spent 600 to 650 Euro per month, leisure expenses (movie, shopping, traveling costs) not
included. My costs were made up of:
 Transportation: 30 to 40 Euro (one way costs around 80 Cents)
 Rent (private room near university): 400 Euro (but you can rent rooms starting at 250
depending on location, size and condition)
 Living costs (food): 150 to 200 Euro (I mostly ate out for lunch and sometimes dinner,
because its comparably cheap and easy and also very popular to eat out in Korea; the cost
for a meal ranged between 3 and 7 Euro, the cost of coffee between two and three Euro).
For students living on campus, the costs for transportation and rent will be less (saving 100 Euro or
more from what I spent). Students seeking to live economically can eat dinner at home or at the
cafeteria. The restaurant culture in Korea is very developed and so people usually eat together in
the restaurant, not at home, because it’s cheap and flexible. Thus most of my friends who were
exchange friends used to go out for their meals and not eat at home.
A visa costs about:
50 USD for single entry
80 USD for multiple entry
