Senior Pictures Specifications
Option 1: Preferred Photographer
On the back of this sheet is a list of the EHS preferred
photographers. They have been provided with the specs required
for our senior photos and will format the photo you select to have
featured in the yearbook. They will also submit your photo by the
deadline and provide the $5 handling fee.
Remember, for this option, the earlier you schedule, the better.
Photographers’ schedules fill up quickly during the summer—
especially photographers like those on this list!
Option 2: Take your own photo
If you have a friend or a family member who can take your photo
(without using a cell phone), you are free to use this option. Here is
what you need to know for that:
•Submit only on CD
•Digital files need to be edited in photo software and saved at a
resolution of 300 (for print) instead of standard web resolution of
72
•Must be saved as a .JPG
•File must be labeled lastname_firstname.jpg
•Only one file should be on the disc (if there are more, we will
select which photo to use
•Photo size needs to be 2 1/4” by 3 1/4” (vertically oriented)
•Background should be uncluttered and free of distraction
•Pose is standing or sitting, head and torso only in the picture
Pictures must be submitted by Monday, September 29, 2013
with a $5 Handling Fee. They can be turned in to Ms. Wagner
in the Yearbook classroom, handed in during Back to School
Night, or handed in during lunch collection times the week prior to
September 29 outside the cafeteria.
Option 3: Senior Portrait Sitting
at Eaglecrest
On October 2 and 3, Kelly Weaver (one of our Preferred
Photographers) will be at Eaglecrest taking senior portraits.
Students can sign up with Ms. Wagner to schedule a 10-minute
sitting. Appointments can be made over the summer by emailing
her at eaglecrestwings@gmail.com, but specific times will be set
after registration in August. These appointments be taken on a first
come, first served basis.
They will be taking several outdoor photos and deciding
with the student which photo to submit. They will take care of
formatting and retouching. Photos can be purchased through
the photographer prior to the sitting if desired. This option costs
$10 and must be paid to Ms. Wagner at the time of
scheduling. More details will be provided during the summer on
the EHS website.
Clothing/Image Requirements
for Submitted Photos:
•No hats
•No logos (unless Eaglecrest)
•No props
•No sunglasses
•No pets
•No soft focus
•No spaghetti straps, tube tops, or halters
•No hands next to or touching the face
•Solid colors look best
•V-Necks are great options for girls, but make sure
they aren’t too deep
•White clothes often will wash out the picture
•Must adhere to school dress code
Other things to remember:
1) Senior Portrait pages will be displayed next to the
Activities Office for two weeks in November. Please
come by and check the pages to make sure your photo is
correct and your name is spelled accurately.
2) Photos must be submitted on time or else they will
not be included in the yearbook. We have to work on
deadlines given to us by an outside company, so please
be on time with your photograph.
3) Senior ads/Baby ads will also be available for
purchase in the fall. They are made by an outside
company, and will have different pricing options
available for you to work with.
4) Remember that if you submit your own photo, you
must also pay the $5 handling fee. No photos will be
accepted without the $5.
5) Pictures not adhering to student dress code will be
returned and not included in the yearbook. Please make
sure that you have at least one photo with appropriate
attire.
