Executive Director
Dear AmCham members and friends,
It is our pleasure to present the AmCham Macedonia 2013 Membership Directory. Inside, please
find profiles and contact information on some of the strongest and most innovative companies
working in Macedonia today. Though many of our roughly 100 members have been loyal to
AmCham for over 10 years, our roles are far from static. We are always looking to expand and
deepen our membership to be the leading voice of international business in Macedonia promoting the global competitiveness of its economy through advocacy and events as well as implementing best practices. Together, we will continue to work toward our vision of Macedonia
becoming a fully-integrated and competitive member of the global economy.

Board Member Profiles
Liza Popovska, Finance Director/CFO of Pivara Skopje AD
Liza is the Finance Director (CFO) in Pivara Skopje AD Skopje, a Joint
Venture Company of Coca Cola HBC AG and Heineken. Pivara Skopje
has 400 employees and is considered one of the most successful
companies in Macedonia.
She has over 20 years of experience and expertise in the field of
Financial Budgeting & Reporting & Controlling, Management
Accounting, Treasury, Credit control Tax and Legal.
Major accomplishments of her prosperous career within Pivara Skopje include constant
development of the Finance Department, communication with auditors, consultants and
banks, departmental restructuring and enhancement of the finance personnel through
trainings, on the job coaching and assignments, full implementation of the IFRS and
implementation and follow up of financial policies and procedures. Liza provides financial
analyses and company performance inputs to the Finance Regional Director. She also
facilitates know-how transfer of the best practices between the countries in the system
and cooperates with The Coca Cola Company for various financial aspects.
Liza Popovska with her expertise, knowledge and devotion is dedicated to bringing
finance to the next stage with the full implementation of a performance management
system, where for the first time the finance competencies were implemented as part of the
system, process integration and focus on knowledge enhancement, with the overall aim
to achieve continuous improvement in finance with the further optimization of the current
units. She is oriented to strategic financial planning, managing cash flow successfully
through the years and makes important decisions for the company. During her career she
has a proven capacity to work successfully in international cross-functional teams and has
strong leadership and negotiation skills. She has advanced strategic planning and time
management skills.
She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius at the Faculty
of Economics in Skopje and she completed the prestigious President MBA Program at the
IEDC Bled School of Management in Slovenia, where she earned her Master's degree.
Liza is fully devoted to continuous learning and personal improvement and has attended
several eminent trainings and seminars which include the Heineken General Managers
Program, IMD Lausanne – Strategic-Finance Leadership, EXCEL training at the Coca
Cola Hellenic, IEDC Bled-Roundtables for practicing managers, IMD Lausanne-CFO
lead program, IEDC Bled School of management-Communication Skills, and Conflict
Resolution Abilities of Today's Business Leaders, Euromoney training corporate finance
skills, Karrass Effective Negotiating Course, Euro money training – Financial analyses
and forecasting, Coca Cola Situational Leadership, Heineken World Class Performance

Programme – Skopje, IMD Lausanne – Business Planning workshop and many other
trainings, seminars and conferences in the country and abroad.
She was elected President of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce
in Macedonia in September 2012 after having served as Vice President since 2011.
Dipl. Ing. Werner Hengst, Chairman of the Management Board of EVN Macedonia
Mr. Hengst graduated at the University of Applied Sciences in
Hamburg (Industrial Engineering). He has long professional
experience in EVN (energy and environmental services company),
since 1988. He was appointed - President of the Management Board
of EVN Macedonia in April, 2010.
Tibor Vidos, Executive Member of the Board of Directors of T-Mobile and Chief
Corporate Affairs Officer at Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje
Mr. Tibor Vidos has an extensive professional experience in several
international corporations. In the course of his rich career, he has
managed corporate communications, government relations, as well
as regulatory activities of several companies among which Invitel
Telecommunication, Hungary’s second largest fixed line telephony
company. InCrnogorskiTelekom, where he was professionally engaged
for more than five years, he was in charge of the Regulatory and Legal
Area and he was a member of the Management Committee of the
incumbent fixed line and mobile operator in Montenegro.
Ruzica Filipceva, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Macedonia
As Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Macedonia, Ruzica Filipceva
is responsible for the overall operation of the office, especially for
practice development, work organization and client relations. She
is also in charge of the Assurance and Business Advisory activities of
Grant Thornton Macedonia and Kosovo. She has significant experience
providing Assurance and Specialist Advisory Services for more than
20 years and in the same time she had lead a number landmark
assignments in the Balkans. Ms. Filipceva joined the AmCham Board
of Directors in 2009.

Makram Ghribi, Plant Manager at Johnson Controls
Mr. Ghribi is a Mechanical Engineer, gaining further informal
education in Projects, CI, and Finance management during his career.
Makram Ghribi is Plant Manager of Johnson Controls Macedonia, the
first green-field investment in Macedonia, since April 2012. Before
this he occupied several positions in Johnson Controls in Macedonia
and Tunisia for 12 years: Operations Manager, Lead Launch Manager,
Production Manager, and Manufacturing Engineer. Prior to this
he was working as Mechanical engineer in the construction of new
power plant with the “Tunisian company of electricity and Gas” for 5
years.
Miroslav Marchev, Tax and Services Director at
PricewatehouseCoopers in Macedonia
Mr. Marchev holds Master in Law from the Sofia University St. Kliment
Ohridski. He is a Member of Sofia Bar Association. He works for PWC
from May, 2001. During his work for one of the largest consulting firms
in the world and in Macedonia as well as in different jurisdictions he
gained sufficient knowledge and understanding on the good business
and corporate governance practices. was appointed on a position Tax
and Legal Services Director in 2011.
Stefan Plavjanski, Country Manager for Macedonia & Kosovo Microsoft Macedonia
Stefan Plavjanski has over 15 years of IT sales and marketing
leadership experience in the region. He was named the “IBM Top
Performer” in 1994. From 2005 till 2013, he has been the HewlettPackard Territory Sales Manager for Macedonia and Kosovo. Mr.
Plavjanski completed literally hundreds of courses focused on
marketing, sales, communications and application development.
Throughout his career, he was a leader in a number of IT projects key
to the country, in areas of telecommunications, banking and public
sector. Mr. Plavjanski has served on the AmCham Board of Directors
since September 2007.
