NEXT ENCOUNTER WEEKEND
Our next encounter weekend will be taking place from Friday, September 11th – September 13th.
Registration is required in order to attend, and can be done at our Life Source Bookstore. The last
day to register of our June encounter is Sunday September 6th. For more information, please come
see us at the Life Source Bookstore after service. Cost is $60 per person.
WATER BAPTISM
Our next water baptism at Ala Moana Beach Park and at Pokai Bay Beach Park is on September 5th
at 8:00am – 9:00am. You don’t need to register to participate just meet us at the beach. There is no
cost to being baptized.
Baptism is an external sign of an internal change that has taken place within your heart. It is a
response to salvation and it represents a life changed by God! Bring your family, friends, your life
group, and cameras!
PLANETSHAKERS IN CONCERT
Word of Life presents, Planketshakers, live in concert on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 6:00pm –
8:00pm. Planetshakers is passionate to see generations worldwide unite together to worship God.
Their heart is to see people encounter God, be transformed by his presence and empowered to make

Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will
be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
LESSON: NEW BEGINNING
INTRODUCTION: We just finished a powerful time of ministry and impartation at our G12 conference!
The church was revived, families were strengthened, and times of refreshing has been richly poured
out in our “New Beginning!”
A. THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road
in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV
1. The Almighty God that we serve is merciful; granting us His unmerited favor even when we
didn’t deserve it. The moment we surrender our lives to Him and embrace His perfect plan
for us, we become a devoted follower of Christ as a disciple. He redeems us from the cycle
of destruction and defeat; and possesses the power to give us a New Beginning.
2. The Apostle Paul encourages us to walk in the newness of life that we have obtained in
Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:4) It requires us to:

Completely let go of our past and trust God
Completely forgive those that have hurt us
Completely surrender to His purpose and plan for our lives
3. It doesn’t matter what mistakes you have made or where you have fallen short in your
personal life. God makes all things new in Christ Jesus through your faith in the integrity of
His word. All He requires from you is to firmly believe in the New Beginning that He has
given you. Settle it once and for all and no longer dwell on the past.
4. There is hope for you because of what Jesus has done at the cross of Calvary. He paid the
price for your redemption. You have the right to begin again with strength, joy and
expectation that you can live life radically different for the glory of God!
B. NEW BEGINNING CONTINUES WITH DISCIPLESHIP
And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the
sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, “follow Me, and I will make you become
fishers of men.”
Mark 1:16-17 NKJV
1. God has orchestrated an amazing new chapter for your life. It’s not enough to receive a
fresh start. We must be committed to finish strong in our journey of faith!
2. Jesus commissioned all who would believe in Him to preach the gospel, and to make
disciples. We have a mandate to share the good news with the world that Jesus is the
redeemer Who makes all things new.
3. In order to reach our potential as a disciple of Christ, we each need someone to speak into
our life to encourage us and hold us accountable. That’s what life groups are all about. To
promote your progress and joy in believing so that you can fulfill the call of God on your life.
