That's the guiding principle for
Steve and Kay Ribbing, the owners
of T.K. Ribbing's in Falconer. For
the last 15 years, the Ribbings
have opened the doors of their
restaurant and invited the community to share a free Thanksgiving
meal and fellowship.
''We weren't sure we'd be able to do
it this year,'' Ribbing said. ''We've
been praying and letting the Lord
lead us in this. He has led us here.
We're going to do it.''
But in order to pull off a Thanksgiving meal that will feed an estimated 1,200 to 1,500 people, the

Barry says his musical experience in the
past has been limited to small parts in college and work as a stage director.
''I'm a sucker to do performances'' Barry
said, ''and if it's a cameo, it's even better.''
The role, though open to both men and
women, is usually performed by men
because ''it is so much funnier,'' according
to Elizabeth Bush, Chautauqua Regional
Youth Ballet administrative director.
In its history of performing the wintertime
show, Mrs. Bush said the Chautauqua
Regional Youth Ballet has generally cast
more men than women in the character's
role - which is typical of company's around
the country. A small role where performers
can be campy and serve without having to

Admitting it can be hard to be graceful in the costume at
times, Barry said he is working his upper body movements
and pearl twirling for this year's production by orders of
Monika Aldrich, the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet's
artistic director. New for Barry is the fact that this year a student, Brittney Pearson, is directing Mother Ginger's portion
of the ballet.
''I think it's really great having a student do a portion of the
directing,'' Barry said. ''It's good experience for me, for her
and for the other girls especially. You see that in this production, the young women who have started out as
mice work their way up to Ginger Snaps and so
on. They keep going and eventually become the
principal dancers in the production.''
By reprising the role of Mother Ginger, Barry

DUMB CRIMINALS
Normally, violence is
probably the only thing that
could make karaoke
interesting and the slightest bit
entertaining, but I would never encourage
behavior such as this unless they were
playing “I Feel Like a Woman” or anything
by Charlie Daniels. You’re not the next
country superstar. You’re a drunk in a
nowhere bar.
Three people were arrested after one of
them hit a karaoke DJ with a bottle
because he didn’t play his song, according
to the News Times.
The paper described the incident as a
“fracas,” which sounds like a large Mexican
side dish broke out at a local karaoke bar.
One of the men, who was “apparently
drunk,” started arguing with the DJ
because he skipped a song that he wanted
to sing. The bar threw the guy out, but one
of his friends hit the DJ with a bottle
because that’s what good friends do,
completely back you up no matter how
stupid and dumb you’re idea really is.
Police arrested two near the scene and a
third who try to flee the scene in his car.
The saddest part of the story doesn’t say
what song the DJ didn’t play.
Thanksgiving everybody!

PLOT
In this continuation to the adventure of the demon superhero, an evil elf breaks an ancient pact between humans and
creatures, as he declares war against humanity. He is on a
mission to release The Golden Army, a deadly group of fighting machines that can destroy the human race. As Hell on
Earth is ready to erupt, Hellboy and his crew set out to
defeat the evil prince before The Golden Army can destroy
humanity's existence.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
At one point in the movie Hellboy
gets a little down about the outside
world and seems to turn his back on
humanity for not treating all creatures
with kindness. This was an important
aspect of the movie and it wasn't developed enough to understand why Hellboy would be so mad at humans.
Develop this aspect a little more and
then the viewer can see the main character's point of view a little better.
WHY OR WHY NOT WATCH
Again, if you liked the first movie or
the comic book you've probably
already seen the movie or are planning
to rent the DVD. If you don't know the
character, but like a good Sci-Fi action
film then you should definitely plan to
watch Hellboy II. If cartoon characters
don't impress you, than you could still
enjoy the direction of Guillermo. However, if none of this sounds appealing,
than you probably shouldn't bother
with the movie.

The Great Blue Hole ~ Belize
The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole off of the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of
Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 45 miles from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is circular in
shape, over 1,000 feet across and 400 feet deep. It was formed as a limestone cave system during the
last ice age when sea levels were much lower. As the ocean began to rise again the caves flooded, and
the roof collapsed.
This site was made famous by Jacques-Yves Cousteau who declared it one of the top ten scuba diving
sites in the world. In 1971, he brought his ship, the Calypso, to the hole to chart its depths. C
Investigations by this expedition confirmed the hole’s origin as typical Karst limestone formations,
formed before rises in sea level in at least four stages, leaving ledges at depths of 70, 160 and 300 feet.
Stalactites were retrieved from submerged caves, confirming their previous formation above sea level.
Some of these stalactites were also off-vertical by 10° - 13° in a consistent orientation, thus indicating
that there had also been some past geological shift and tilting of the underlying plateau, followed by a
long period in the current plane.
This is a popular spot amongst recreational scuba divers, who are lured by the opportunity to dive in
crystal clear water and meet several species of fish, including giant groupers, nurse sharks and several
types of reef sharks, such as the Caribbean Reef Shark or the Blacktip Shark. Other species of sharks,
like the bull shark or hammerheads, have been reported there, but are not regular sightings. Usually,
dive trips to the Great Blue Hole are full-day trips, which include one dive in the Blue Hole and two
further dives in nearby reefs.
