Job Description:
As a crew member, participants will be working as counter attendants, preparing and serving
customers’ foods and drinks. Depending on the items served at the counter, the food counter
attendant may be responsible for some basic preparation of the food. Participants will take
orders from customers and adjust the items based on customers' needs (e.g., omitting items
from a sandwich). Duties also involve handling the financial transactions related to the food
and drink purchases and participants may also be responsible for tracking and handling
inventory for the counter.
Additional duties include general cleaning of the store including the dining area, work station
(counter area), kitchen area and restrooms (participants will be cleaning toilets and may come
in contact with cleaning chemicals).

There are many things to do in Ocean City! As well as enjoying a day at the beach and the outdoor and water
activities included (swimming, sun bathing, surfing, fishing, sailing, volleyball, picnicking), participants can take a stroll
and enjoy the buzz along the town’s 3 mile boardwalk. Ocean City also organizes free night movies and concerts on
the beach during the summer. Other summer activities include art, craft and cultural fairs and shows, the Ocean City
Air Show, dolphin watching and boat trips to Assateague Island. Additionally, participants can discover Maryland's
colorful history at the Life-Saving Station Museum or else do some shopping in Ocean City’s outlets, malls, boutiques
or antique shops (in nearby Snow Hill and Berlin).
