Research and Documentation: collect of an image and textual file for one unique pair of buildings from
the list below, include:
1. all plans, sections, elevations and projections (axos or isos)
2. relevant photographs, sketches, images
3. primary critical texts
4. drawings of historical and typological precedents;
5. painting, sculpture and objects of the period of the buildings.
6. Note all bibliographic references for anything you find (include author, title, publisher, page numbers)
Be prepared to present and discuss what you have found to the entire class.
Bring books, and xeroxes of information to class.

Le Corbusier Complete works (7-volume set)
Le Corbusier, Paris-Chandigarh by Laus-Peter Gast
Use the Avery Index and its supplements to research in periodicals. The Avery Index is the most comprehensive source for worldwide periodical references. Look for articles written around the time of construction and more recent documentation of each project. Where the Avery index is not available use the Architectural Periodical Index (API). This index is less complete because it was started later and only covers
current major periodicals.
