‘Pamana’ exhibit at Philcenter with Escaño, Cortez, Marquez
APRIL 10—Three noted Filipino artists from Quezon province — Escaño, Cortez and Marquez
— will have a three-man exhibit titled “Pamana” from April 9 to 20 at the Philippine Center on
Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. A formal opening will be held April 10 (Tuesday) at 6 p.m. at the
lobby of the Philippine Center. Exhibit will be open to the public Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. Weekends by appointment only. Proceeds to benefit the Scholarship of Hope of the

Forgotten Soldiers Screening at Philippine Center
APRIL 12—The Philippine Consulate General in NY in commemoration of "Araw ng Kagitingan"
presents a special screening of Donald Plata's "Forgotten Soldiers" (2011) at Kalayaan Hall,
Philippine Center, 556 Fifth Ave, NY, NY at 7:00 pm. Cocktails to be served at the lobby at 6:30
pm. Forgotten Soldiers is a documentary film about the United States Army's Philippine Scouts.
They fought America's first major ground battle of WWII. Narrated by Lou Diamond Phillips.

2 Filipino films to compete at SOHO int’l filmfest NY
APRIL 13-20—The 3rd SOHO International Film Festival New York City (SIFFNYC) will be held
from April 13 to 20 with two Filipino indie films competing — “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang
Kaliwang Paa” (“The Dance of Two Left Feet”) and “Senior Year.” Movies will be screened at
Sunshine Cinema located at 143 East Houston Street in Manhattan. “Senior Year” will have an
April 14 (Saturday) screening at 1:30 p.m., while “Ang Sayaw” is scheduled on April 15

PAFCOM Star Search Competition
APRIL 15—The PAFCOM Star Search competition will take place from 3-6 pm at Hudson
Catholic High School in Jersey. We are opening this year's competition to all Fil-Am talents.
Finalists selected on April 15th will get a chance to compete in the grand finale competition set
for Sunday, June 24th during the PAFCOM Parade and Festival at Lincoln Park in Jersey City.
Winners for each category that will be moving to compete at the Grand Finale will be
announced on April 15th. PAFCOM has selected a panel of prestigious judges that have
background and expertise in dance, music and entertainment. If you are interested in

CFC ANCOP NJ LAUNCHES 2012 GLOBAL WALK WITH ‘PISTAHAN’
