This five-day FSC Expert training course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge about the FSC
system and certification requirements whilst building personal competencies such as auditing proficiency and
team work skills. The course is endorsed as fulfilling FSC’s formal requirements for FSC Lead Auditor
Training.

Part III: Chain of Custody certification
Day 4: You are introduced to FSC CoC certification and the main concepts and requirements which pertain to the chain
of custody part of the FSC system. You will gain a good understanding of the three main chain of custody systems that
certificate holders can choose from. You will also learn about aspects such as outsourcing, multi-site and group
certification. We bring all the theory to life by conducting a virtual annual audit of the fictitious company Greenwood.

Day 5: Classroom exercises helps you memorise what you have learnt so far, and provides hands-on FSC auditing
experience. We will continue our audit of Greenwood by reviewing the company’s documentation and will finalise our
evaluation by conducting a closing meeting with the company manager. The day ends with an exam testing your
competence level within FSC CoC auditing.
