As part of the Graduate School’s “Building Graduate Communities Initiative” the Program in Public Health presents: The Impact of Health Information Technology Adoption on Inpatient Outcomes Presented by Ryan McKenna Ryan McKenna is a PhD Candidate and 4th year PhD student in the Stony Brook University Department of Economics. Broadly, his research focuses on health economics, economic demography, policy analysis, and applied microeconometrics. His thesis examines the effectiveness of government policy initiatives aimed at promoting the adoption of health care information technology. Specifically, using New York State hospitals as a case study, he examines how this technology has impacted inpatient hospital outcomes and costs of care.
