Recipients are selected on the basis of scholastic achievement, leadership on and off the field, academic goals, recommendations and financial need. The Calvin Johnson Jr. Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2008 by Calvin Johnson Jr., All-Pro Wide Receiver of the Detroit Lions. *This 2014 scholarship application is only for graduating high school football student-athletes in Metro-Detroit and surrounding areas.
