HONORS BIOLOGY 2A
Animal Anatomy & Physiology Vocabulary Reviews
Purpose: Using Quizlet™, to construct a series of explanations, examples and comparisons using the
vocabulary associated with our unit regarding principles of botany.
Directions:
1. Sign up for an account at www.quizlet.com and request to join your appropriate class. Also
provide your username and email address to your instructor
2. Starting with the week one vocabulary terminology, create Quizlet™ flashcards. However,
instead of the traditional flashcard format in which the term is connected to its definition, you
will also be providing several other types of “cards” including:
 Straight definitions
 Specific examples
 Comparison/Contrast (i.e. compare/contrast this term to another vocabulary term from the list)
 Visual (provide an image, video, etc. that demonstrates the vocabulary term)
3. For each week’s vocabulary, you may choose how to divide up the vocabulary into the required
types of cards. Essentially, one fourth of the vocabulary is straight definition, one fourth are
examples, etc. Consult the lists to see how to break up the vocabulary.
4. When you are finished, publish your cards so that all in the class may view them. The due dates
for each week’s vocabulary are as follows:
Vocabulary Set Due Date
One
5/27/14
5. As you will have access to other individuals Quizlet™ sets, use them as another source of review
materials when it is time for tests.
