DISTRICT (Downtown)
LA County Family Court Services Program
111 N. Hill Street, Room 241
Los Angeles, CA 90012
Family Court Services, a project of the Superior Court,
offers numerous services to the public with child
custody and visitation issues. The Family Court
Services Mediation Office provides an opportunity for
parents to write their own custody and visitation plans.
(Financial matters are not discussed in this setting.) If
parents cannot agree on a custody plan for their
children, the Family Court Services Child Custody
Evaluations Office may be ordered to provide the court
and parents with information and recommendations. A
fee may be charged for an evaluation.
Additionally, the Family Court Services staff
of mental health professionals offers child-focused
programs for parents who are divorcing, separating or
have children together. Parents and Children
Together (PACT) is an educational program that
assists parents in helping their children adjust to
changes in their family and is mandatory for parents
who have a custody and/or visitation dispute.
Parenting Without Conflict is a six week parent
education program for
high conflict families. Parents attend this program by
court order.
These programs are free.
