PROCEDURES FOR DELTA FA RECIPROCAL JUMPSEAT TRAVEL ON COMPASS
AIRLINES
Compass Airlines, Inc. (CP) is pleased to offer the privilege of reciprocal cabin jumpseat travel for
Delta flight attendants. The following procedures have been developed to make this process as
hassle free as possible.
1. There is no pre-flight listing. All transactions take place at the airport.
2. Jumpseat travel is a “ticketless” program.
3. Flight attendants requesting transportation under this agreement must check in at any airport
ticket counter or departure gate a minimum of thirty (30) minutes before scheduled departure.
Flight Attendants will be required to check in again at each stopover or connecting city.
4. If you have checked baggage you must process your jumpseat request at the ticket counter.
5. You must present your company-issued employee ID which must have the text “CREW” on it
and request to be added to the “jumpseat” list.
6. Once you have checked in you will be given a cabin jumpseat request card. Please stay in the
gate area until your name is called.
7. Our agents cannot accommodate requests less than 15 minutes prior to departure.
8. This agreement does not permit travel with a carry-on pet or responsibility for a child or family
member.
9. Transportation is applicable on Compass flights within the continental United States and is on
a space available basis. Priority will be by each carrier on its own flights to its own employees
eligible for the cabin jumpseat. Thereafter, crewmembers from the other carrier will be
accorded such transportation on a “first come, first served” basis. Only flights operated by
Compass and Delta are covered by this agreement. Flights operated by Delta Connection, or
other regional carriers or code share partners of Delta are excluded from this agreement.
10. Transportation provided under this agreement is solely for travel that is strictly personal in
nature. Transportation under this agreement is not to be used for business-related travel of a
personal nature, and is not to be used in any way to facilitate a carrier’s staffing or crew
requirements or any employee’s crew related duties, responsibilities, plans, prospects or
objectives. Commuting to/from work is considered personal travel and is allowed under this
agreement.
11. Dress Code
Any crewmember utilizing transportation under this agreement while in uniform will be
expected to conform to proper and complete uniform requirements. Crewmembers not in
uniform must wear business casual attire - no jeans or shorts. In addition, closed-toe,
closed-heel shoes should be worn - no sandals or tennis shoes. Crewmembers not in
uniform must display their CREW ID when occupying the cabin jumpseat.

March 1, 2010
12. Delta Flight Attendants Wishing to Standby for a Jumpseat
After check-in with an agent, you will be placed on the cabin jumpseat standby list and will be
given a FA Jumpseat Request Card. Confirmed jumpseats will be released 15 minutes before
scheduled departure time and priority will be given to Compass Crewmembers first and then
Delta flight attendants holding a FA Jumpseat Request Card on a first-come, first served
basis.
13. Boarding the Flight
• If a jumpseat becomes available 15 minutes prior to the flight’s departure, the jumpseat will
be offered to standbys holding a FA Jumpseat Request card, on a first come-first served
basis.
• The FA Boarding Pass must be scanned by the agent before boarding.
• When all jumpseats are full, any remaining eligible jumpseat standbys holding an FA
Jumpseat Request Card will automatically be rolled to the NRSA list.
14. Once Onboard
• Identify yourself to the Lead Flight Attendant (LFA) and Captain by presenting your CREW
ID and providing the Captain and LFA with the appropriate copies of the FA Jumpseat
Boarding Pass.
• Ask the LFA which jumpseat to occupy.
• Stow luggage in the economy cabin, non-bulkhead bins, unless instructed otherwise by the
LFA.
• The working Compass Flight Attendant must inquire as to aircraft door qualification or
familiarity. If not already familiar with aircraft door operation, you must request and receive
an instructional briefing from a flight attendant crew member. Instructions from a crew
member will include basic emergency door operation to be used only in the event of
working crew incapacitation. The instructional briefing must be entirely hands-off with no
physical contact with an aircraft door.
• Remain clear of normal operations; don’t interfere with working crewmembers’ duties.
15. During the Flight
• During the service, it may be necessary to relocate to another jumpseat to avoid any
disruption to customer service.
• Cabin jumpseat riders aren’t permitted on the flight deck.
• Alcohol may not be consumed while occupying a jumpseat or within 12 hours before
occupying a jumpseat.
• Sleeping on the jumpseat isn’t permitted.
• Jumpseat rider may move to unoccupied passenger seat if available.
16. General Policies
• Do not arm, disarm or crack open doors.
• Seat belt extensions may not be used by cabin jumpseat occupants.
• Flight attendants may not delegate door arming, disarming or door cracking responsibilities
to any cabin jumpseat riders.
