This watch has been tested by industry standards to an
overpressure situation in a static laboratory environment.
This means the watch was not influenced by frequent
temperature changes, saltwater, sand or big wipeouts.
Constant exposure to these situations can seriously effect
the rubber seals which keep water out.
It is recommended that every 24 month the rubber seals are
replaced and fully tested by a billabong watch technician.
(Please see page 34 for your closest billabong watch service
centre contact details)
IMPORTANT: It is not recommended to use this watch
for navigational purposes. We have compiled the most
current and accurate tide readings available at the
time of manufacture. However, weather conditions,
changes in the coastal environment and movements in
the tectonic plates can affect the tidal changes/ranges.
Therefore we can not guarantee that the information
contained in this watch, nor accept responsibility or
liability for variances to actual tide conditions.

FAQ’s
How do I change the tide height from Metres to Feet?
While in the Tide function press the DIRECT TIDE button to
change the wave height measurement from either Metres
(Metric) or Feet (Imperial).
How do I check the future tides for my Local Beach?
Enter the Tide function by either pressing the Quick Tide
button or scrolling through the functions with the Mode
button. Press the START button or RESET button to scroll up
or down through the future approaching tide’s data for your
LOCAL BEACH. Hold the START button or RESET button to
return to the current time’s Tide data.
How do I use the Wave Counter in the Chronograph
function?
The chronograph is essentially a stopwatch which can
be used for several different training purposes for many
athletic sports. We have catered our chronograph to surfing
with the intent of using the lap counter as a Wave Counter.
With most competition surfing only allowing 15 waves per
heat, the Phaser can help you keep track of your progress.
While in the Chronograph function press the START button
to initiate the stopwatch.
Once the stopwatch has begun you can press the RESET
button as you catch each wave to increase the Wave Counter. (The Wave Counter can count up to 99 waves.)
The top left hand counter will keep progress of the total
amount of time which has elapsed. To stop the stopwatch
press the START button again. To reset the wave count and
total time hold the RESET button for 3 seconds.
How do I change the timer preset for comp surfing?
While in the Timer function hold the RESET button to reset
the timer, then press the RESET button to scroll through the
Presets. P4 = 20 minutes and P5 = 30 minutes.
