This method adds a STUDENT account. An Instructor can change a user’s role if necessary. The Instructor begins by going into the course. 1. Expand the “Course Tools” menu in the Course Management tool bar 2. Click “ISU Admin Tools” 3. In the “Manually Add Students” box, a) If participant has an ISU netID, enter it (don’t include “@iastate.edu” ) b) If is a new guest, enter WITHOUT spaces: username,FirstName,LastName,password ‐‐ “username” must be unique within the ISU login system, ‐‐ “password” must be 8 characters or more (best to mix letters and numbers) The final login username will be w.username Don’t lose the password! In this example the guest logs in with Username = w.redhood and Password = 2grandma Both are case sensitive.
