The Canterbury Tales Final Test Assignment 1. Pick a Character/Profession This can be ANY profession from ANY time period. We will just pretend that all these characters have been time warped to one place and time to take this journey to a Holy Place. Be creative and pick something unique and interesting! 2. Write a Prologue In your prologue, tell us about your character and their profession. You should include a physical description, something about their personality, and also a description of what their profession is and how they do it. This should be at least 150 words. It needs to rhyme. 3. Tell a Tale! The tale can be ANY story that your character might tell in this type of setting. Think about what morals/lessons/entertainment that your character would be interested in sharing with a group around a campfire. It can be a story already written, but your must make it original and your own by re-writing it somehow. Your tale does not need to rhyme, be at least 500 words and fit your character. Submission: Please bring a hard copy to Miss K on Wednesday, May 16th. You will also need to submit your prologue and tale through email attachment to Miss K by this date. Make your title of the email the character’s profession. Extra Credit: You may receive extra credit if you include a visual aid or drawing of your character with your hard copy. OR If you tale is in rhyme form (like the intro). I will be compiling these to make us all a copy so an illustration will really make your tale better. It doesn’t have to be drawn, it can be created with technology, but must be original.
