us from Meaninglessness to Meaning IN OUR LIVES and OF OUR LIVES.

The Transforming energy is the power of change and growth. It is the power of
ascendancy and transcendence. It is the power that allows us to "go beyond" our
apparent limits and to connect to the old as well as the undiscovered. It allows us to
enter into the fabric of all that is and access the power of that synergy.
The transforming energy accesses deep knowledge of the world and of the nature of
people. It holds the essence of reality and what it means to be human. It is a profound
ability to invent, create, and utilize insights into scientific technology, psychology, and
sociology to have power for change and growth into the world. The transforming energy
allows us to see things others don't, and to make connections others can't make. It is an
access to a heightened power of observation and connection that creates "magic" and
"genius" into the world.
The power of transformation is accessed through many archetypal images but is
essentially represented by the "ritual elder" (the shaman, the magician,) who guides the
processes of transformation, both within us, and around us into the world. Everyday
examples of this energy can be seen the persons of doctors, teachers, technicians,
inventors, and scientists to name a few. It is not so much the pure "science" that these
people can create or access, but the ancient process that underlies the discovery of such
"science" that connects our modern "elders" with shamans or medicine men of "primitive
" cultures, and the wizards and conjurers, witches and warlocks of ancient lore. It is a
process that involves ritual, initiation, trial, test, quest, mentoring (master-apprentice
relationship), guiding, teaching and above all, curiosity. The Ritual Elder opens the
pathway to the connection between the sacred and the profane, the human and the
divine, the body and soul, the worldly and the spiritual. She opens the door to other
worlds.
The transforming energy takes two basic paths: The acquisition and holding of "sacred"
knowledge; and, the ability to use that knowledge as a "technology" for bringing
meaning to the life of the individual and of all others, and to make the energies of
Generation, Questing, and Love actual in the world.

Passion, Vividness, and Aliveness to guide the individual and humankind to engage their
senses to sensually connect with creation, and their sensitivity to open the gates of
understanding, empathy, and compassion for all living and non-living things.
The Connecting Energy acts as the bond that unites all the energies (Generating,
Questing, Transforming, and Connecting) together into a synergistic powerful force that
draws the individual and humankind into a meaningful union. It brings The Lover to
bear in all energies, thus providing an influence away from the shadow energies and a
light toward connecting to something beyond the self.
In a reciprocal manner, the Connecting Energy needs the power of the Generating,
Transforming, Questing Energies to keep it grounded and attached to the real world and
to prevent the Lover energy from drawing the individual and humankind into a dreamfantasy world of inaction, disconnection to the mortality and perfect imperfection of
being human. They keep the experience of being alive a sensual, passionate, engaged,

Mature Feminine
Ties to Mother / Father
Yearns for the Goddess beyond his own mother, beyond the beauty and
feeling of the things of the world
Deep yearning for the infinitely nurturing, infinitely good, infinitely
beautiful Mother (the one beyond his own) -- real mother and other
women can’t meet needs
Yearning for unconditional allowingness and acceptance
Must direct his spiritual yearnings at the Goddess not at mother or women - need to relieve women of our (man’s) need for them to be god-likeness
Shadow Energies
Momma’s Boy: boys too bound to the mother get hurt
Tied to apron strings
Rescue
rescue mother from father -- worse if father is absent or “absent”
strikes down the god (father) for the goddess (mother)
Don Juan
oedipal boy inflated beyond mortal dimensions, cannot be bound to one
woman
never satisfied with mortal woman because he seeks the immortal
goddess -- Don Juan syndrome
chases the beautiful, the poignant, the yearning of union with mother
from one woman to another
Autoerotic
Seeks to experience own masculinity, phallic power, generativity
through the divine phallus that experiences all women or experiences
union with the Mother Goddess in her infinity of female forms -- rather
than affirming as a mortal
Does not want to do what it takes to have real union with mortal
woman and deal with complex feelings involved in an intimate
relationship
Just wants to be -- does not want to take responsibility -- seduction makes
the other responsible through the trickster
The Dreamer
While others play, he or she dreams, separate
Dreams are melancholy but highly idyllic and ethereal
Takes the spiritual impulses to an extreme
Feels isolated and cut-off from human relationships
Relationships with intangible things and the world of imagination within
him
Accomplishes little and appears withdrawn and depressed
Less than honest
Prefers fantasy to real relationships
May “love” objects and things
Money
Car
Voyeur: watches the world but never directly engages it
Demonstrates through passivity his or her pique at failing to achieve
possession of the mother / father -- grandiosity hidden by depression
