Define Biosphere
The parts of Earth that include
the hydrosphere, atmosphere
and lithosphere that work
together to support life on
Earth.
Hydrosphere
1. The hydrosphere is the
liquid water component
of the Earth.
2. It includes the oceans,
seas, lakes, ponds, rivers,
streams, glaciers and
groundwater.
3. The hydrosphere
covers about 70% of the
surface of the Earth and
is the home for many
plants and animals.
Lithosphere
• The lithosphere is
the solid, rocky crust
covering entire
planet.
• This crust is
inorganic and is
composed of
minerals.
