Heroic Instructor Diesel mechanic instructor Doug Clapper was instrumental in rescuing a 20-year old driver following a traffic accident. Clapper, a Lynnwood resident, was the first to spot the car in a ditch and worked frantically with another man and several Lynnwood High School students to rescue the young woman trapped inside. He hoped to remain anonymous, but when his name was provided to the local newspaper he responded, “I would sure hope if it was me or one of my children, someone would do the same thing.” We’re thrilled to be able to recognize his good deed. NISOD Winners Congratulations to Jessie McDonald, Worker Retraining instructor (L) and Marjie Vittum-Jones, Math instructor (R) on their selection as South’s 2007-2008 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Award winners.
