Language Arts
We are still improving on our
skills of finding nouns and verbs
in a sentence. We will work on
using them correctly in a
complete sentence. We are still
working on what is in a sentence
and what is not a sentence. We
will still be working with
declarative sentences
(statements) this 9 weeks.
Writing
We will be writing about
different types of transportation
this week. We will continue to
write basic sentences. I do
expect students to remember
how to space between words,
capitalize, and
punctuate correctly. Writing
should also be done neatly.
Math
In math, we will continue to learn
about addition skills. We will relate
counting to addition, apply
operations to addition, and fluently
add to 5. We will work on addition for
the 1st 9 weeks. Addition flash cards
for the 4’s will be coming home today
to help reinforce addition skills.
