Scrapbooking Project
Grade 4
Kerem Shalom
This workbook will be your guide to completing your project.
The project begins with choosing a family member who you
would like to research. You may wish to choose a relative who
you can interview in person or by phone and who can supply
you with some photographs. You might wish instead to rely on
stories and photos that one of our parents can provide. You will
be creating a scrapbook that compares your Jewish life to your
relative’s life in 4 different areas. Inside this workbook you will
find more than 4 ideas to complete this. The requirements for
completion of this project are:

• Choose a relative to research
• Complete at least four of the pages of
this workbook in addition to the first three
pages
• Collect artifacts (pictures, stories and
articles) that support your research
• Use the space provided in the workbook
to neatly write your answers. You will
then be able to cut out the box and glue
it into your final project.
• If you prefer you may do your writing on a
computer
The actual scrapbook will be assembled in class.
Photos and artifacts will be glued into your project so
please have copies made of valuable documents or
photos instead of using the originals.

Ritual Object
Ask your relative about a meaningful ritual object. This
could be a menorah, a seder plate, Shabbat
candlesticks, a mezuzah, a tallit, etc. Take a photograph
or draw a picture of the object. Choose a ritual object in
your home that is important to you and also photograph it
or draw it. You may bring the object in and we will take a
digital photo here.
