Non-DepEd schools, which have been granted at least Bronze accreditation status by the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC); Proposed Category B 1. Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), which have been issued a permit or government recognition to offer any higher education program; 2. State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) subject to CHED policy in consultation with PASUC and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) mandated by law or ordinace respectively, offering any higher education program; 3. The required Letter of Intent and other additional required documents must be appended to the email. An application must be addressed to Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC and submitted through email address: shs@deped.gov.ph The checklist of the additional documentary requirements are found in the enclosure, though some applicants which are accredited by any accrediting agency under FAAP, may no longer submit some documents. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SHS Application Procedures • Those who are interested to offer the SHS Program prior to SY 2016-2017 and who fall within Categories A, B or C may express their intent through the submission of all requirements on August 30 of the year preceding the school year of their intended operation. • These guidlines shall also apply to Early Implementers of the SHS Program. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION 32 10/7/2014 SHS Application Procedures Applications to implement the SHS Program will be evaluated by the SHS National Task Force (SHSNTF) under the Office of the Undersecretary for Programs and Projects. For purposes of on-site validation, the SHS-NTF may deputize the Regional Office (RO) to conduct ocular inspection and related activities. Private Schools and HEIs which have attained at least Level III Accreditation granted by any accrediting agency under the FAAP may no longer be subject to on-site validation or inspection, provided that they comply with the documentary requirements.
