GROUP EXERCISE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
INTRO CLASSES
MIND & BODY
STRENGTH & CARDIO
Enhance® Fitness Improves your balance,
flexibility, bone density, endurance, coordination,
and mental sharpness and decrease your risk
of falling. Classes are beneficial to all ages and
abilities, including those with physical limitations
or new to exercise.
BODYFLOW™: Uses yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates
movements to build flexibility and strength.
The controlled breathing, focus and series of
stretches leave you calm and centered.
Body Sculpt: Lively exercises to music that
strengthen and tone your muscles. Great for
beginners and active older adults
CARDIO
Cycling: Interval drills in this group cycling class
are based on cadence, speedwork, resistance,
and recovery periods.
Kickboxing: Building off of the intro class, take
your workout to the next level. Provides overall
physical conditioning and toning.
RPM™: Helps you take on the indoor cycling
terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads
the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks,
time trials, and interval training.
DANCE
Ballroom Dance: The class will rotate dances
every three weeks. Each class, the instructor will
review the previous week or two. The first hour
of class will be instruction, followed by an hour of
social dancing.
Belly Dance: This class focuses on learning
technique and building belly dance skills. This
graceful and challenging style of dance is a fun
way to work new muscles, gain better balance
and rhythmic skills.
Dance Aerobics: Easy to follow choreography
set to current, popular music. This class draws
from different styles such as Latin, jazz, and hip
hop. This class is great for all levels.
U-Jam®: Started here in Silicon Valley, this
workout is a wow with its world beats and urban
flavor designed to burn calories, tone your body,
and leave you pumped and ready for more.
Zumba®: A fusion of Latin and international
music with dance themes that create a dynamic,
exciting, effective fitness system. Great for all
levels.
Zumba® Gold: It's an invigorating, communityoriented dance-fitness class that feels fresh, and
most of all, exhilarating! Zumba® Gold classes
provide modified, low-impact moves for active
older adults.
Fitness Yoga: A style which flows at a more
active rate, guaranteed to raise your heart rate
and fitness level.
BODYATTACK™: A sports-inspired, interval
training workout to build strength and stamina
that combines athletic aerobic movements with
strength and stabilization exercises.
Flow Yoga: Moves steadily from pose to pose in
sequences of movements synchronized with the
breath.
BODYCOMBAT™: A fiercely energetic program
inspired by mixed martial arts, to unleash your
cardio workout power.
Gentle Yoga: A style of yoga that is far less
strenuous than other forms of hatha yoga.
BODYPUMP™: The original LES MILLS™ barbell
class gives you the moves to burn fat, gain
strength, sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire
body.
Meditation: Relax and meditate through this 25
minute class. Learn breathing techniques.
Meditative Yoga: A yoga practice with an
emphasis on guided meditation to being
consciousness and awareness to breath and
physical awareness.
Pilates: Helps develop a strong core of deep
abdominal and pelvic muscles and muscles closest
to the spine.
Qigong: A practice of aligning breath, movement,
and awareness for exercise, healing, and
meditation.
Stretch & Flex: Start your morning off right with
a few light stretches and toning exercises using
dumbbells.
Tai Chi: Tai chi is a noncompetitive, self-paced
system of gentle physical exercise and stretching.
Each posture flows into the next without pause,
ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
Therapeutic Yoga: Combining gentle and
restorative yoga, breath work, and foam rolling,
Therapeutic Yoga creates a deeply rejuvenating
experience and helps bring your body into
balance.
Vinyasa Yoga: The word Vinyasa means “breathsynchronized movement.” This style allows for
a lot of variety, but will certainly include Sun
Salutations.
Yin Yoga: Emphasizes deep long stretches and
generally targets the connective tissues in the
hips, pelvis and lower spine. This class is yoga
for the joints, and not for your muscles.
Yoga: This class focuses on breathing techniques
and yoga stretches. All poses have long
holds therefore allowing the body to stretch,
strengthen and be more flexible.
BODYSTEP™: Uses a height-adjustable step
workout with sing-a-long music to push calorie
burning systems into high gear while integrating
muscle conditioning to shape and tone your body.
Circuit Training: Join our high-intensity full body
workout in just one hour. This class is supervised
by trainers in a friendly atmosphere with great
motivational music.
CXWORX™: Using your body as resistance,
improve your core strength and overall stability
by focusing on balance and posture.

INSANITY®: Take your fitness to new training

Karate: Karate is a weaponless means of selfdefense. It consists of dynamic offensive and
defensive techniques using all part of the body to
their maximum advantage.
Old School PE: Join us as we run circles around
the old basketball gym with stops at various old
school exercise stations. Increasing strength and
endurance (the old school way) is our goal.
MAY 2015
P90X®: P90X offers an amazing amount of
variety with each workout targeting a specific
goal. It focuses on agility, balance, mobility, and
visible results.
HAPPENING THIS MONTH:
Tabata: Through a variety of simple, yet intense
exercises, each class will blast the calories and
provide noticeable results in a short amount of
time.
TRX®: Put your muscles to the test with this
circuit-style interval strength training approach
to blast your muscles.
