MUS/RTV 302 Attendance Statement Attendance is mandatory for all 302 classes, Production, Engineering, and Law. All MUS 302 students are expected to be participating in class. Not there? Can’t participate. This is purely based on a business model. As you look forward to working in your professional future, not showing up for work and having no legitimate reason to miss work will likely result in poor performance reviews, which may result in lack of promotion or termination. The classroom is no different, but instead of you being paid for your efforts, you’re paying The University of Arizona in order to assist in the guidance of -‐and the education for-‐ your future. We welcome that role and strongly endeavor to uphold it. Please let me know by email if you know you have an emergency that will prevent you from being in ANY MUS 302 class. If you are given no warning, notify me soonest thereafter. When you return to class, be prepared to give me a written excuse from someone or some entity that oversaw your absence. If your document is legitimate, you will avoid any penalty to your final grade. If you gather three (3) unexcused absences, your final grade will drop by one letter. In other words, if you have earned a “B” for the course, but have three (3) unexcused absences on your record, you will receive a “C” for the course. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation, Sincerely, Prof. Jeffrey Haskell jhaskell@email.arizona.edu
