Faculty Learning Community for Teaching with Technology – Fall 2011 thru Spring 2012 –
participated in the inaugural FLC groups at USF. Focused our effort in sharing different technologies
with faculty throughout the USF communtiy.
Increments and Transformations Institute – Summer 2010 thru Spring 2011 – Institute designed to
encourage using technology both in class and in online forums.
Camtasia Workshop – Spring 2010 - offered by the Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence developed skills necessary to enhance online teaching with Camtasia videos
Elluminate Workshop – Spring 2010 - offered by the Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence developed skills necessary to offer online office hours to students outside of traditional class times.
Blackboard Development Workshop – 2/1/2010 – learn to incorporate quizzes and projects to online
classes.
Online Presentation Workshop – 10/28/2009 – explored three different software packages that could
be used in online teaching. Camtasia was the software that I chose to incorporate in my Spring 2010
online class.
United States Conference on Teaching Statistics – Ohio State University – June 2009 – national
conference explored material and presentation methods of introductory statistics classes. Also
included information about technology available to use in class.
Blackboard Development Workshop – 2/20/2009 – learn to use communication options within
Blackboard.
Elluminate Live Workshop – 2/17/2009 - Learn to make/record Elluminate Live videos for student
interaction/playback. Used in class to provide demonstration videos for project and practice exam
help. Also used for online office hours for online classes.
Teaching Workshop at USF – Teach Large Sections of Students – Spring 2001 – focuses on problems
unique to teachers of large class sizes.
Teaching Workshop at USF – Writing and Analyzing Multiple Choice Exams – Fall 1999 – workshop
geared at helping instructors write and anlayze effective multiple choice exams.

Hillsoborough County Planning Commission. Yearly updating of Quality of Life survey. Includes
sampling and analysis of data collected. 2004 – 2007.
Stetson College of Law. Analysis of law school entrance data as predictors of law school
performance. Spring – Summer 2006
Dentist Analysis. Analysis of predicting age of person based on the maturation of teeth. Summer
2004.
General Dynamics. Analysis of Military weaponry data. January 2003 – October 2004.
Hillsborough County Planning Commission. Aided in development of sampling plan for Quality of
Life survey. Analyzed results for planning commission. July 2002 – April 2003.
General Dynamics. Analysis of munition rounds fired to determine best design of weaponry.
Analyzed the results of numerous designs. November 2001 thru April 2002.
PRIMEX Technologies. Analyzed the likelihoods involved with the manufacture of defective
product. Reported the probabilities of product being produced at various defective rates. January

PRIMEX Technologies. Analysis of the standard deviations of the velocity measurements collected
from a sample of 45 lots of data. August 2000.

Val-Pak. Reviewed sampling plan of Val-Pak coupons St. Pete distribution center and recommend

Brown Citrus Systems. Designed and analyzed sampling plan to determine which of three processes

PRIMEX Technologies. Analyzed components of selected Base Charge Assemblies to determine
their likelihood of occurrence in the gerneral population of components produced. August 1999.
Urban Economics, Inc. Analyzed sale price information of homes located on Alafia River to assess
damages of a 1997 chemical spill. February 1999.
Whitestone Consulting Medicare Sampling Analysis. Analyzed sampling design and analysis of
Medicare reimbursement data for Florida doctor’s group, January 1999.
PRIMEX Technologies. Designed sampling plan to enable defense contractor to sample from a large
population of product to determine, with reliability, whether to accept or reject lots within the
population. December 1998.
Hillsborough County Planning Commission. Designed sample to survey residents of Hillsborough
County. Analyzed results for Planning Commission and School Board. Fall 1998.
Vinyl-Tech, PGM. Designed sampling procedure to analyze the attitudes and beliefs of the
company’s employees, June 1998.
Tropicana, Inc. Analyzed the results of the production process of orange juice. Made specific
recommendations designed to improve the quality and quantity of the juice produced. May - July,
1998.
Clark, Charlton, Martino & Borders, attornies. Aided research of trial as statistical expert testifying
on the probabilities involved in a drunk driving suit. May 1998

Tampa Technical Institute. Analyzed the results of a survey administered to graphics arts businesses
in west-central Florida. Projected employment opportunities for TTI graduates. January 1998.
Halkey-Roberts Corporation. Designed sampling procedure to aid in defection rate estimation of

national research grants concerning transportation issues, 1992- 1996 .
State of Florida Public Defender's Office. Gave expert testimony regarding the probabilities of
transmitting a sexually transmitted disease as they related to a defendant's innocence or guilt, 1995.
