Goh Puay Guan is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Business School, where he teaches Supply Chain Management, and Global Operations Strategy. Puay Guan is also Vice President at Sembcorp Development Ltd and General Manager of its Joint Venture Company, Batamindo Shipping and Warehousing Pte Ltd. In 2013, Batamindo Shipping and Warehousing was awarded the ASEAN Business Award in the Growth (SME) category, by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. Prior to that he held a number of different management roles, including overseas postings in South Korea and China. His corporate experience includes general management, strategic planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, in the areas of supply chain, information technology, and infrastructure development. Between 2007 and 2010, he was Adjunct Professor at Inha University in South Korea. He is an author of Supply Chain Management: A Concise Guide, published by Pearson, as well as co-author (with Jay Heizer and Barry Render) of Operations Management: An Asian Perspective, 11e, and Principles of Operations Management: An Asian Perspective, 9e, both published by Pearson. He is a book chapter contributor to "Supply Chain Analysis" (edited by Tang et al) and published by Springer. He has also spoken in industry seminars and industry panels. In 2012, Puay Guan was a TOYP (Top Young Outstanding Persons) merit winner in the Business and Entrepreneurship category, by Junior Chamber International. He has also been featured in the Stanford University Career Development Center’s as a Profile of Success in 2004. He has been active in social organizations including serving as Vice President of the Stanford Club of Singapore, and previously as Honorary Treasurer at Mensa Singapore, and President of the Singapore Club in Seoul. He obtained his MS in Management Science and Engineering, and BS in Electrical Engineering, from Stanford University, as well as BSc in Economics from the University of London.
