Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group is hosting a Senior Fair on December 4th at Grace Bible church from 9:30am to 2:00pm.
There will be a presentation on COPD & Emphysema. A panel will be available to answer your questions.
Health Plan groups for seniors (SCAN & Secure Horizons, AETNA etc.) will be in attendance. This would be a great opportunity to ask questions if you are considering making any changes to your current health care.
Social Security will also be there to answer questions. Glucose, bone density and cholesterol screenings will be available for free. There will be other groups as well for seniors to ask questions and get information.
Refreshments will be served.
You buy tickets for you and your friends at one of the advertised businesses, or on-line at www.helendalechamberofcommerce.com
. You can hardly wait for the day to arrive.
December 13th , you make sure you have everything you’ll need for the day.
Your shopping list is simply a must. You’ll buy all your gifts with little to no fuss!
Checks, cash & credit cards are all in place, after all there are thousands in prizes at stake.
Vendors will be there all selling their wares , there’s sure to be something for even Aunt Clair.
One last look in the mirror and a coat just in case, you take off in your car, there’s no way you’ll be late!
You and the girls are packed in the car. You pull up to the clubhouse and feel just like stars!
VALET service at curbside? Surely you jest? You’re asked for your tickets, you hold out your hand, it gets stamped; you get programs and lay out your plan. A map shows you clearly just where you should start.
With a laugh and a horn toot, the girls take OFF!
Each house is just splendid, and each so unique. House to house your eyes feast on Christmas splendor with glee. It’s been near four hours , where did the time go? It’s back to the clubhouse for shopping galore .
Hundreds of cars line the street and the lot. It’s all so exciting, you run up the block. You enter and buy a long roll of tickets , then walk prize to prize wondering just what’s in them. You’re all out of tickets, so it’s on to the food, then shopping and mingling and drinking will do.
Holiday music, the tree and the crowd, the shoppers and vendors and laughing out loud. This is what
Christmas is meant to be; neighbors and friends and community . The evening winds down, the prizes awarded. It’s time to pack up and get the girls loaded.
What an event! What a wonderful time. You’re laden with gifts and dressed to the nines. The houses, the prizes; the gifts that were bought, have everyone commenting and talking non-stop. As you say your goodbyes it is clear to you all that next year you’ll be back, IT WAS SIMPLY A BALL !

If you ever wondered about the water that comes out of your tap, then this was the meeting to attend. Neil Findor owner of Clear
Water Solutions gave a presentation that explained what is in our water and how to filter out those things we don’t want.
Mr. Findor installs environmentally friendly water conditioners. He was very clear that there is nothing in our water that is harmful and the Helendale CSD does routine testing.
What he has to offer is a replacement to your salt water conditioner. He guarantees no brine water or backwash, save water, no salt, no brine tank no scale and easy installation. Mr. Findor stated that after installation the water tastes as good or better that the bottled water that we spend so much money for. He offers different equipment and applications that can be installed for your home. He also explained the installation process and the ease of maintenance. Mr. Findor lives in Silver Lakes and can be reached at 800-601-8040.
We also gave away our Chamber bucks, which have been a great success. What a great way to advertise your business. You don’t know what Chamber bucks are…then come to the next meeting and find out. Call our Chamber office at 952-2231 for a reservation.
