AP BIOLOGY - SUMMER 2013 ASSIGNMENT
In order to cover the required material for the AP Biology course it is necessary
to assign all students a Summer Assignment. The assigned 6 chapters on Ecology
have been selected because they are less difficult and to some extent have been
covered in Biology I/ II. Thus, they lend themselves well to self paced
instruction.
The text that you will need is Biology, 6th edition by Campbell and Reece.
**Text Book Pick-up will be any time after (and including) Tuesday May 28th,
2013- at the Textbook Center of the Library (you will need your student ID
to check out a book).
For Each Chapter: Read and Do the Chapter Reading Guides
1.
Read the chapters (Ch. 50-55) Ecology Unit
2.
Do the Chapter Reading Guides (PRINT out the questions, LEAVE
SPACE for the answers, but the ANSWERS MUST BE HANDWRITTEN.)
3. Reading Guides can be found on the Mt. Carmel Website under AP Biology

The Reading and Study Guide questions are due the first day of class.
