David Wilde BIO David Wilde is a composer, producer, songwriter and arranger for film, television, advertising and records. He began his musical training on piano at the age of 5. After studying under such jazz greats as Rufus Reid, Barry Harris and Dave Samuels, he received his BM degree in Jazz Studies. After graduating, David opened Marion Recording Studios and quickly scored a tripleplatinum hit with the hip hop band, Naughty By Nature and the Grammy nominated track "O.P.P". David produced, played, programmed and recorded the track in his own studio. More platinum hits followed such as "Hip Hop Hooray" (Naughty By Nature) and "Hey Mr DJ." (Zhane). David's jazz, rock and pop background and his ability to merge with new technology proved a perfect fit with the emerging hip hop era. Across his successful career, David has written and produced music with a diverse group of premier artists such as Michael Jackson; Hall & Oates; Kool and the Gang; Kathie Lee Gifford; Queen Latifah and Coolio, and he has also worked on multiple projects with noted composers such as Alan Menken and Mike Post. In addition, David has written and produced music for commercial advertising campaigns for global powerhouse clients such as Maybelline, Pantene, Avon and Chico's. Adding to these successes, David has also built an impressive track record as a composer for television, providing the underscore for all the seasons of popular TV series such as Run's House; Life of Ryan; Daddy's Girls and Candy Girls. In 2009, David wrote the song "Beautiful You" in collaboration with singer songwriter Audrey Martells, which ran as a promo for the Lifetime TV show Sherri. In collaboration with his wife, the talented singer/songwriter Stacy Wilde, David produced a major label record of her original music and garnered a publishing contract. The team wrote, recorded and produced the first season promo for the Fox hit TV show Lie To Me; and in 2009 their song "Lie To Me" was the winner of the prestigious Hollywood Music and Media Award in the “Best Song: TV” category. On the wings of their many successes, David and Stacy formed WildeWestMusic. With trademark speed, the first project they won was to compose and produce the theme song for the hit Disney XD Live Action Comedy "I'm In The Band". This led to writing and producing many of the additional songs and music used in the weekly TV series. Now in their second season with the show, David has taken on all the underscore duties as well. On the film side, David recently finished working with a full string section at Avatar in NYC, writing and producing the score for the highly acclaimed independent short film "The Hirosaki Players", directed by Jeff Sousa. David currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Both David and Stacy are represented by Christine Russell at Evolution Music Partners.
