Before the workshop
Registering on Meeting Manager
All conference communications are sent through our
online system, Meeting Manager, so please register
on the site as soon as possible. Simply go to www.
hothousemedia.com/mm – click on Advisor Registration
and follow the steps. To complete the registration
process, select the conference(s) you wish to attend.
If you are already registered on Meeting Manager,
please log in and tick to apply for this conference.
Booking your hotel room at the Shangrila’s Far
Eastern Plaza Hotel
After selecting the conference(s) you wish to attend, the
system will prompt you to book your accommodation.
Click ‘yes’ and enter your required dates. You will then
receive a confirmation email. Should you wish to make
any changes, simply log in, go to conferences and click
‘hotel booking’ to edit.
As an agent, you will get two nights free
accommodation if you live outside of Taipei.
Accomodation cancellation charges
Please note cancellation or reduction of bookings made
within 30 days of the event will incur a cancellation fee to
be determined by the hotel.

Appointment scheduling
All meetings are booked through Meeting Manager. You
will be able to access the educator list and begin making
appointments from Wednesday 20th January. Make sure
your profile is complete and up to date by Wednesday 3rd
February. Any changes made after this will not be printed
in the conference catalogue.
You will receive a reminder email just before you are
given access to the educator list.
Visas
Citizens from most countries do not require visas
in order to enter Taiwan. To check, go to www.
worldtravelguide.net/taiwan/passport-visa. If needed,
please apply for your visa at least four weeks before the
conference.
During the workshop
Getting around
The hotel is 45 minutes from Taiwan Taoyuan
International Airport. Taxis are available outside the
arrivals areas, 24 hours a day. Fares to Taipei are metered
and vary according to traffic conditions and road tolls.
Several bus companies serve city centre destinations and
take around 50-60 minutes costing around NT$1250.

Monday and Tuesday mornings with a complimentary
refreshment ordering service available from your table via
ordering forms that will be on your desk.
Water will be available throughout the day from a
central water station. Lunch will be included on the
Monday. There are also a host of eateries within the hotel
as well as a good selection within easy walking distance.

Taipei is the political capital as well as economic and
cultural centre in Taiwan. Taipei is known for its many
night markets, the most famous of which is the Shilin
Night Market in the Shilin District. Most night markets
feature individual stalls selling a mixture of food,
clothing, and consumer goods.
The newly developed Xinyi District is popular with tourists
and locals alike for its many entertainment and shopping
venues, as well as being the home of Taipei 101, a prime
tourist attraction famous for being one of the world’s
tallest buildings.

Wi-fi internet connection is provided free of charge all
around the hotel (Accommodation rooms,meeting rooms
and public areas).
