Johnson, Marcus Pike 1990 Indiana All-Star. Three-time all-conference, three-time all-sectional, two-time allregional, two-time all-state, two-time all-Marion County and two-time all-Metro Indy. Played under HOF coach Ed Siegel at Pike and won four conference titles, three sectionals, three Marion Co. titles, one regional championship, and the Red Devils were ranked three of the four years he played. Four-year letterman started center three years and receiving Team Rebound award, was team captain and team MVP. Averaged 14.2 ppg and 7.1 rpg as a senior, setting Pike school records for career (262) and single-season blocked shots (105). Received athletic scholarship to Indiana State University where he was a three-year starter, playing in 70 games and graduating as school’s 5th all-time shot blocker (66). Lowery, Chris Evansville Harrison First team all-city and Kiwanis award winner led Evansville Harrison to 66-21 career record and averaged 15 ppg as a senior. Received basketball scholarship to Southern Illinois University Carbondale and played all four years. Averaged 11.9 ppg as a junior and 10.2 ppg as a senior, named MVC all-conference and two-time all-conference honorable mention. SIU Carbondale team made two appearances to NIT tourney and two NCAA first rounds. MVC conference champs (1992) and back-to-back MVC tourney champs junior and senior years. Voted to SIU Carbondale’s all-century team this year. Has head coaching career record of 145115 and was named MVC Coach of the Year twice while coaching at his college alma mater. Athlete of the Year, all-Final Four and Parade All-American is Lawrence North’s all-time leading scorer (1,874 points), rebounder (1,264) and blocked shots leader (339). Set school records in game, season and career scoring, game, season and career rebounds, game, season and career blocks and free throws made in a season. Averaged 20.5 ppg as senior. Played under HOF coach Jack Keefer and led Lawrence North to the 1989 HOF Classic title and 1989 IHSAA state championship title. Received athletic scholarship to the University of North Carolina (UNC) and averaged 11.7 ppg and 6.8 rpg in his career (1,627 career points and 941 rebounds). Earned a myriad of awards including named two-time All-American (1993 and 1994), 1994 CoSIDA1st team Academic All-American, and twiceACC all-conference. As starting center, led UNC to the 1993 National title and team was named to John R. Wooden AllAmerican team, he ranks 8th in career rebounds (941), 9th in highest field goal % (.585) and in single game blocked shots (6). Drafted 9th overall in 1994 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics and played eight seasons with six teams. Scored 2,071 career points and grabbed 2,159 rebounds in NBA action. Moore Jr., William (Clyde) Southport Leading scorer for Southport his sophomore, junior and senior (18.4 ppg) seasons scoring 1,296 career points, which ranks third in school history. Played under Bill Springer, he led Southport to three sectional, one regional and one semi-state championship. Scored 40 points in 1990 semi-state championship win over New Castle and put up 28 points in the afternoon game of the state finals, in Southport’s 58-55 loss to eventual state champion Bedford North Lawrence. Holds single-game scoring record (42 points) at Daytona Beach State University where his jersey has been retired. Finished college career at Murray State and was selected team captain senior year. NIT and NCAA tournament appearances and conference champions, graduated with 3-point record. Played professional basketball in Melbourne, Australia and also in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Has been a Material Handler for GFC Delta Computer since 1999 and resides in Cloverdale. He has four children. Parks, Juda East Chicago Central 1990Indiana All-Star. Three-time all-area, three-time all-sectional, two-time all-state and all-regional. Led East Chicago Central to two sectional titles, two Turkey tourney championships and one regional championship. Averaged 19.4 ppg as a senior, 14.1 ppg and 6.7 rpg in career, plus graduated as all-time leader in points (1,135) and steals (235), ranked 2nd in career rebounds (533), plus 3rd in career assists (332) and blocks (53). Received athletic scholarship to Indiana State University, then transferred to Western New Mexico University after two years. Averaged 23.4 ppg as a senior and named 1st team all-conference and Pacific West Co-Player of the Year. His teams won Pacific West conference championship twice and went to the Division II Sweet Sixteen in 1995. Played professionally in Australian Pro League and averaged 19.6 ppg and 5 apg. Three-time all-Big 8 conference and all-county, plus two-time all-state. Graduated with career scoring record of 1,222 points. Averaged 18.8 ppg, 9.3 apg, 6.3 rpg and 4.1 spg as a senior. Had single-game highs of 37 points, 12 rebounds, 13 assists and 10 steals. He recorded a quadruple-double against South Knox: 23 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists and 10 steals. Received athletic scholarship and played two seasons with Purdue, then two seasons with Butler. Averaged 15.0 ppg, 4.7 apg and 5.2 rpg as a senior at Butler. Waddell, Matthew Tipton st 1990 Indiana All-Star.1 team all-state and All-CIC player led Tipton (62-11) to three Pilgrim Cups, two sectionals and one regional championship. Averaged 32.2 ppg, 9.3 rpg and 7.0 apg as a senior. Had career highs of 51 points (1,677 career) and 16 assists in a single game (674 career), hit the most free-throws in a season (157), most rebounds in a season (576) and had 332 career steals, which are all Tipton High School records. Received athletic scholarship to Purdue University where he was a starter on two Big Ten Championship teams and also started on Elite 8 NCAA tourney team under HOF coach Gene Keady. Bob King and Red Mackey award winner scored 1,170 points in 127 games, ranks 6th in free-throw % (82%), 12th in steals, 6th in assists and 10th in 3-point field goals, plus a member of Purdue’s “Top 30 All-Legend Team”. Yoder, Ryan Westview Named to Bloomington Herald-Telephone’s 1990 Small School all-state team.Totaled 1,594 career points averaging 27.5 ppg as a senior and 21.1 ppg as a junior, leading Westview High School to three conference championships, one conference tourney title and one sectional title. 1990 South Bend Area Co-Player of the Year, Fort Wayne Area Player of the Year, South Bend Sunburst All-Star game MVP and Indiana All-Star game 3-point champion. He graduated in top five in all-time combined scoring for two brothers (Rusty Yoder) in Indiana basketball history, also graduated with school record of 356 career assists. Received athletic scholarship to Colorado State University (CSU) and averaged 13.1 ppg and 6.7 apg as a senior. Graduated with career free-throw percentage (89%) and career assists (529) records. Three-time “Best Represents Ram Basketball” award-winner, 1st team all-conference and 1st team all-region at CSU. Participated in Denver Nuggets rookie camp and Rocky Mountain shoot-out, Denver Nuggets training camp and played in exhibition games with the NBA team.
