To obtain an EDL or an enhanced non-driver ID, you
must apply in person at a DMV oftice. As part of the
application process, you may be briefly intewiewed by a
DMV representative about your forms.
This EDL EZ-Checklist has been created to help prepare
you for your DMV visit and your EDL or enhanced nondriver ID application.

of identity, the parent or

has signed the back of the MV-44 form
giving hisher consent to allow the
minor to apply for a junior license or

If the child is between the ages of 16
and 18, but does not have the necessary proofs of identitv, helshe must
subm.it a MV-45 statement of Identity by a
Parent or Guardian, and hisher parent or
guardian must be present to sign the form

Fees
The fee for an EDL is $30 in addition to the fees
requiredfor your driver license or non-driver photo
ID transaction. In comparison, the cost of a U.S.
passport is more than $100.
