D. Players A. D. Players to Present The Little Foxes Celebrated as a Classic, Story Mirrors Today's Headlines Houston, TX: Thrilling and mesmerizing to the end, The Little Foxes takes over the A. D. Players MainStage April 23 through May 30. The Little Foxes, a suspenseful portrayal of a family divided by ruthlessness and personal quests for power and wealth, comes eerily close to the Wall Street ethics of our day. The Hubbards, a Southern family, deceive and manipulate each other in order to gain an upper hand in a business deal that could earn them millions. A. D. Players brings the characters to vivid life in this powerful story of love, hate, betrayal, and murder in an early 20th century society that mirrors our own. Expertly written by Lillian Hellman, The Little Foxes premiered in 1939 and was famously adapted into a film starring Bette Davis in 1941, which was nominated for nine Academy Awards. Proving its power to speak to modern audiences, The Little Foxes has been revived several times on Broadway; both the 1981 and 1997 productions were nominated for Tony awards.
