The Iguana By Allison
I am an iguana. If a predator bites my tail I can grow it back.
I use my tail as a whip to protect myself. I can jump 40 feet
down from a tree. I can climb with my very sharp claws. I weigh
about 11 pounds. I grow 6.6 feet. I am a herbivore. I have strong
teeth with razor teeth. I generally live near water and I am an
excellent swimmer.

I am a Two Toed Sloth. I eat flower petals and insects and
leaves. I climb and I live in the canopy of the tropical rain forest.
Jaguars and harpy eagles are my predators. I am about the size
of a small dog.

snakes possums and rabbits. I live on the forest floor and
understory of the rainforest.

until four weeks. I live in the canopy which is the 2nd layer of
the tropical rainforest. I live in a tree hole. I am a lazy bird. I
don't fly that much. I look colorful. I have a hollow beak. I hatch
with a hollow beak.

I am a poison dart frog. I eat leaves. I live in the rainforest. I
have 4 legs. I am 2 inches long. I have enough poison to kill
20,000 mice. I am all types of colors. I am endangered. My
continent is South America.

I am a golden Lion tamarin. I eat plants fruits and insects. I
live in the canopy layer of the rainforest. Snakes can eat me. I
am also known as the Gold Marmoset.

I am a Bengal Tiger. I eat meat. I live on the forest floor. I live
in the rainforest.
The Jaguar by Kali
I am the jaguar who lives in the rain forest of the forest floor. I
learn to hunt when I am three months old. I live in the tropical
rain forest . I am hard to see because I am camouflaged.
The Scarlet Macaw by Madison
I am a scarlet macaw. I am the largest parrot in the world. My
body is 33 inches long from beak to tail. I am threatened by rain
forest destruction and illegal pet trading. I can be found in the
canopy and the emergent layer.
The Emerald Tree Boa By Oliver
Hello I am an emerald tree boa. I eat birds, rats, bats and best
of all mice. I can grow up to 6 feet. I can have 5 to 12 babies. I
am a green and white snake. I communicate by making SSS
sounds. Some people own me. Not trying to be mean but I have
a really bigger mouth than people. I live in the understory of the
rain forest..

I am a boa constrictor. I live in the canopy of the rainforest. I
eat birds rats and other animals. My enemies are people and
jaguars. I protect my self by coiling around my prey. My babies
are called neonates. I am nocturnal. I can grow up to 30 feet.

I am a quetzal. I eat forest fruit. When i am a group. I eat
larva and worms and insects when I am a baby I make nets in
old tree trunks. I live in the rainforest .

I am a Tarsier. I eat insects, lizards, worms and small animals.
I am the size of a squirrel. My eyes are the size of my brain. I
live in the rainforest .
The Quetzal By Serena
I am a quetzal. I live in the canopy of the rain forest. I eat
fruit, leaves and bugs. You can find me in Central America or
Costa Rica. When the Europeans came they did not believe the
Native Americas about me... because I was so rare. Finally they
found me and killed me for my lovely feathers to put them on.

squeaks. I live on the forest floor in the tropical rainforest. My
tail can grow to 25 inches.

back of my wings. Nobody eats me thats what i hope.

prey. I then I eat it. I live 10 to 15 years. I am 25 to 30 ft. I am a
constrictor and a water boa. I live on the forest floor and the
understory.
