WEEK 2 SCHEDULE
8. Kickaholics – They start the season off with a shutout and we know they are looking to host
more. A hodgepodge team with a mixture of veterans and newbies, they seem to be figuring
things out quickly so watch out if they are on your schedule!!
1. Foot Clan – Although shorthanded the Clan was able to pull it together and begin their quest
for a title with a win. Although they didn’t score a lot, they scored enough putting up 4 and
shutting out their opponent. Good start for the Clan, let’s see what they do next week against
Ballz Deep.
9. Pitch Please – They got some sick uni’s and they looked great, unfortunately looking good
didn’t mean playing good and they got shutout by the Kickheads in week one. They were
playing an outstanding team and have potential but we need to see some wins soon if they
want to stay high in the power ranks.
2. Dream Crushers – They are back and they successfully Crushed their first Dream already. They
jumped out quick on Kick Tease and was able to hold off a late surge. They head into a double header next week, will they keep Crushing?
10. Thousand Dollar Balls – They are the only new team to come out and get a win in their season debut in a while. They started out slow but were able to quickly figure the game out and
go to work. We are very excited to see where they go this season. The sky is the limit!!
3. Kicktease – They opened their season with a loss but they played a very solid squad. We do
expect them to bounce back and give their next opponent hell to avoid going 0-2. There
won’t be any “Teasing” around these next upcoming weeks. They’ve got some games to win.
11. Ballz Deep – They showed up to play and we know they had a blast both on and off the
field. They unfortunately didn’t win their kickball game but we have a feeling they could
care less. They got a tough matchup next week, maybe they’ll get the upset.
4. Kickheads – They came out swinging in game one, effectively putting an end to the game real
early. They’ve made some great off season acquisitions and they look like they could be a
contender. If they keep playing like they did last week they might be the team to watch.
12. All the Pitches Love Me – They were the first team to have a double header and they handled it well going 1-1. They also were the fun team of the week as they crushed the bar and
the dance floor with the most peoples having the most fun.
5. The Untouchaballs – They had the tall task of taking on the top ranked Foot Clan in week one.
They fell short of victory but losing 4-0 against a very good team with numerous new players
is something to be proud of. They got another tough game this week against Kick Tease, let’s
see if they can get week two going with an upset.
13. Kicking ain’t Easy – They didn’t get the win but they had a great time playing the game and
that’s all that matters. They came out for a few bites afterwards and we know they are figuring things out for next weeks big game. We’ll see if they come out swinging and get the big
win!!
6. WAKA WAKA WAKA – They came out in week one and got a big upset. It was a close game all
the way through but they were able to pull it out in the end. Great win but we only saw one
member of the team at the bar (Pre Season Party Flavor Flav). That’s more upsetting than a
loss. Where they at though?
7. Former Child Kick Stars – They had a lot of new peoples and they played WAKA WAKA WAKA
tough but came up just a little short and ended up with the loss. They were well coached and
we know they’ll get better as the season progresses. We’ll be checking back next week for an
update.

Week 2: Heros & Zeros
Week 4: Wild Wild West
Week 3: I Mustache you a Question
Week 5: Cops ad Robbers
?
Question: A runner beats out a bunt and is safe at first base. They overrun the base and turn left into fair territory, walking back to
first base. The runner never attempts nor fakes to attempt to go to second base, but is tagged by a fielder in fair territory before touching first base. Out or safe?
Answer: Safe. Rule 10.06 states "Runners traveling from home plate may overrun first base, and may only be tagged out if actively
attempting to advance to second base." An idle turn to the left is not attempting to advance to second base.

ROOKIE of the week
Matt Rush— All the Pitches Love Me
How did you hear about WAKA?
I just moved here from California. I’m in several leagues doing whatever I can think of in search of meeting exciting new people. My
obnoxious friend Steve told me that he participated in a WAKA league in Santa Cruz. He has an awful personality but managed to
meet a lot of cool people through the league. I thought that if he could find success, so could I
What do you think about your WAKA experience thus far?
So GPS screwed me over the other night and took me to an apartment complex adjacent to our playing field. I got out of my truck
and could hear people playing kickball on the other side of a fence. I hopped the fence, walked through a bunch of brush and found
a creek separating me from our field. Realizing that I was seriously late and in jeopardy of being disqualified, I waded through the
creek. I then walked up an embankment only to be met by a lake! Long story short, I made it to my wonderful new teammates,
shoes soaked, mud up to my knees. I was then given the only team shirt that they had left-size small and pink
