Author-Henretta (College Level) o Total Chapters: 31 (1002 pgs.) o Chapter Assessment : About every 5-6 days, along with other writing tasks or readings to support the key AP Concepts. o A limited amount of time to cover the course and practice before the AP Exam on
May 6 th
. So we will benefit with a head start on chapter 1.
Unit 1: Early Contacts among Groups in North America
Task: Take notes, and answer the following guiding questions based on the readings in the
Links below. This is required and needed to prepare you for an assessment the 1 st
week of school (based on these tasks).
1) The 1 st

3) United States Outline Map o Accurately locate the 50 U.S. States on the provided outline map. o Study/practice the locations of the states, and be able to produce the locations from memory, for a U.S. Map assessment during the 1 st
week of school.
Note: There is only one section of AP U.S. History for next year and the sign-ups slightly exceed the class size limit. Not completing and succeeding these summer tasks may aid us in determining who is moved out. I will also be instructing 2 Non-AP U.S. History Courses next year.
