Starting from October 2015, the Institute is launching the Business Leaders Series of seminars to feature business leaders
inside and outside the accounting profession. Experts are invited to share their insight and experience in driving business
success, and their perspectives on broader business and social issues.

For the inaugural seminar under the series, we have invited Mr. YK Pang, Chief Executive of Hongkong Land Holdings and
Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, to be the speaker. Mr. Pang plays an active role in Hong
Kong’s business community and public service arena. He joined the Jardine Matheson Group in 1984 and over the past
30 years has spent a significant amount of time in the Mainland for professional and business purposes. He will share his
experiences and observations of the development and changes in the Mainland over the past three decades and discuss
why Hong Kong needs to work better with the Mainland under “One Country Two Systems”.
About the speaker

Mr. Pang has been Chief Executive of Hongkong Land Holdings since 2007. He is also Director of Jardine Matheson
Holdings, Jardine Matheson and Jardine Matheson (China). In 2014, he was elected as Chairman of HKGCC. He joined
HKGCC's General Committee in 2005 and was elected Vice Chairman in 2010 and Deputy Chairman in 2012.
Apart from the above leadership positions, Mr. Pang also plays an active role in Hong Kong’s business community and
public service arena. He was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star medal by the HKSAR government in 2008 and was
appointed Justice of the Peace in 2001. He was chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong in
1999. Currently, he is Vice Patron of the Community Chest of Hong Kong, Chairman of the Council of Hong Kong
Institute of Education, and Chairman of the Employers' Federation of Hong Kong. He is also a member of the Advisory
Committee / Advisory Board of various organizations in the public sector.
Mr. Pang was born in Hong Kong and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Civil Engineering and from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Business Administration Degree. He completed
the Programme for Global Leadership at Harvard Business School in 1998.

Enrolment for the event is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and priority will be offered to young members on or before 8 October 2015.
Successful applicants will receive confirmation of registration by email at least 3 working days before the event. Unsuccessful applicants will also
be notified around the same time. If you have not heard from the Institute regarding your registration 2 working days before the event and if you
have other enquiries related to the programme, please make enquiry at 2287 7386 or 2287 7253.
NO ADMISSION TICKET will be issued. Please bring your HKICPA membership card or confirmation email for admission purpose.
All applications are on a first-come-first-served basis.
NO CANCELLATION will be entertained after the application is processed.
All scheduled events will be cancelled and postponed to a date to be announced in the event of typhoon signal no. 8 or above or if a Black
Rainstorm warning is hoisted. For details of bad weather arrangement for CPD programmes, please refer to the Institute’s homepage.
