advertisement
Founded in 2009, the Arizona Interactive Marketing Association (AZIMA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan
membership organization that helps Arizona marketing services firms, businesses, educational institutions and
students improve their understanding and application of interactive marketing best practices. Driven by an
extreme passion for interactive marketing, the founders of AZIMA (joinazima.org) created an organization to
help foster a better understanding of all things about interactive marketing. AZIMA is the place Arizonans turn to
for interactive marketing education and networking, providing its members with leading edge online marketing
strategies, tactics, ideas and solutions.

Internship Considerations - For Companies Considering Hiring a Student Intern
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
What value (output) would you expect to get from an intern?
What value will you provide the intern in the way of an experience in return?
What skills are you looking for in an intern?
What education level should the intern be - undergrad or graduate?
What compensation will you provide?
Are you looking for part-time help or full-time help over the summer?
Will someone take the lead on hiring, mentoring and directing an intern?
Will there be an opportunity to convert this into a full-time position at some point

Maricopa Community Colleges
There are ten community colleges in the Maricopa County. All colleges share a central Maricopa careers website
where employers can post jobs that will be visible to all ten community colleges. Some colleges offer additional
services to employers and may have their career services department and school specific processes to reach the
students better. However to engage with any school the employer must first be approved online on the central
Maricopa careers website.
As a general guideline to recruit from the community colleges first register and post a job on the main Maricopa
career network (http://maricopa.jobing.com/). After approval, follow up with a specific community college.
Specific details on interactive marketing related programs offered by the community colleges are included in this
guide to help identify a specific college for recruitment.
