Annex 1 - SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
1. Introduction:
The purpose of this project is the procurement of CIS equipment for the upgrade of the existing
NRDC-ITA infrastructure, in order to meet the MC593/1 requirements for NRDC-ITA NATO
future role, the NATO FMN Implementation Plan.
MC593/1 provides the Nations with Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) for NATO C2
Services and supporting Standards for all Forces and Elements deployed on Land in a Joint
NATO Operation. Furthermore it describes the architecture of headquarters and forces and
minimum level of interoperability and standards of C2 Services.
Within SHAPE’s Long Term Rotation Plan (LTRP) 2015-2016, NRDC-ITA will assume the role
of Joint Task Force Headquarters - Land Heavy (JTF HQ (L)) for the conduct of Small Joint
Operations - Land Heavy - SJO (L). In order to assume this role, NRDC-ITA will go through its
certification process during a series of certification Exercises, and requires an upgrade to its
existing CIS Capabilities to be fully compliant with the Information Exchange Requirements
(IERs).
ITA-MoD requested the NCI Agency the procurement CIS equipment in order to upgrade
existing NRDC-ITA infrastructure in accordance with the Target Architecture developed, by the
NCIA.
The scope, the requirements and the detailed list of the hardware and software in this
Statement of Work have been agreed with ITA Mod, NRDC-IT and ITA AGS.
2. Scope
The scope of this project is to:
a. Provisioning of CIS Equipment as the hardware, software and any other items
listed in the CIS Equipment Specification section.
b. The technical design, the implementation of the systems and the integration of
the PFE within the CIS Equipment.
c. The design, implementation and integration, of the CIS Equipment in the scope,
with existing NRDC CIS infrastructure.
d. The delivery of the CIS Equipment according Schedule and the Milestone as in
the Period of Performance Section.

e. The provisioning of On the Job Training up to 30 man/days, not continuously
and split into time slots of one week each.

The warranty and the support on site as described in the Warranty and Support
Section of the SOW.
