Through this workshop, participants will be introduced to Rudyard Kipling's world of the Jungle Book. Participants will be separated into small groups, with each group selecting an area of the Jungle map to explore. Once in that area they will be quickly introduced to a variety of activities that they can achieves in that very spot. These Activities will come from our Trail Cards, which are currently under development. Once the group selects a card, they will do the activity, just as our Cubs would. ! Each activity card will speak of the challenge of the activity, contain materials required to succeed , and have the Plan- Do- Review methodology outline. Each area, will have a “Scouter” to support their choice and to be available incase help is needed. ! Each area will contain 3-4 cards, offering options to choose from: Lair challenges, STEM projects, Outdoor simulations, How-To Games, hands on Safety activities and problem solving Scenarios. Each meant to drive and create some amazing meaningful experiences that will help build an awesome Cub Scout program. ! Participants will get to keep the card they used during the activity, will also get a Trail Card Users Guide, Canadian Path Card and a drafted copy of the Cub Book Review Page. ! Outcomes: All participants are going to discover the wonders of the Canadian path, by exploring the Jungle of the Cub Program. Participants will walk out from this workshop with hands on experience about a PLAN - DO REVEW, seeking proper youth Leadership, creating a more adventurous program and be able to create a safe and wonderful experience while respecting proper age development.
