SS 2015 Collection
The Madewell lookbook has been released
and the collection perfectly embodies those
optimistic spring days when your wardrobe
gets a refresh. According to Madewell's Head
of Design, Somsack Sikhounmuong "This
collection was a resounding nod to the
optimism that comes with spring. The pulling
out of all the things you love and packed away
— your favorite jeans , a classic tee, a trench
— we looked to all those things, tweaked and
updated them to feel fresh and new."
Denim once again is a focus for the brand with
70′ inspired silhouettes including overalls and
shorteralls. A '70s-inspired wide-legged flare
in a light wash and both long and short overalls
— and fun details to admire, specifically
patchwork and patterns that peek out when
cuffs are rolled up on boyfriend jeans.
There's a decidedly bohemian feel to a

including a striped, fringed poncho and bag, and a
series of rope belts and Ikat-esque prints on
scarves, blouses and sewn onto denim.
The skirts and dresses are mid-length and breezy,
and on offer is a great selection of army green and
denim jackets to throw on in transitional weather.
The selection of dresses includes a red cotton
dress, a couple of monochromatic looks: one in a
head-to-toe rosy pink and another that's a gauzy
white.

M&J Group to present
HUB25 at Bluezone
2015 will be a year of change for M&J Group,
which is about to embark on a project that will
revolutionize the concept of value chain,
introducing a new way of networking and
meeting the brands’ requirements in the
world of fashion.
During the upcoming next edition of Munich
Fabric Start (Bluezone, 2-3 February), M&J
Group will be previewing HUB25. This
ambitious project is aimed at introducing a
new model for sharing values within the
denim value chain.
M&J Group will play a pivotal role in this
cutting-edge concept which, starting from
the S/S 16 collection, will feature a range
of innovative looks in line with the
market trends, reinterpreting the
concept of contact point between
players along the value chain. M&J

manufacturers and brands,
meeting the requirements of
both and turning them into brand
new collections.
For this first edition of HUB25, M&J will be
joining forces with two of the largest denim
manufacturing companies: CALIK DENIM
and ITV DENIM.
This partnership will produce two capsule
collections for the S/S16 season, featuring
garments designed and developed in close
collaboration between M&J Group and its
two partners for the German market.
“A concept – that of HUB25 – which will be
developed, season by season, through
increasingly new and surprising

HUB25 comes to celebrate the 25th
anniversary of M&J Group in the world of
fashion, focusing especially on the German
market, paying special care to the topics of

Alexa Chung Sings to Promote AC
for AG Denim Collection
The 30-year-old fashionista, Alexa Chung
has joined forces with denim brand AG
Adriano Goldschmied to create 20 pieces.
The Alexa Chung for AG line will include
dungarees, jeans and denim dresses, and
the 30-year-old couldn't be more excited.
Alexa has spoken in the past about how
much she wanted to design her own clothes.
So when the opportunity arose with AG, she
took her input very seriously. She even
visited their 400,000 sq foot factory to get a
better understanding of the production
process.
To promote her AC for AG denim
collaboration she shows off her impressive
vocal skills with a little song to drum up
excitement for the forthcoming collection in
mytheresa.com’s video directed by Gia
Coppola featuring Alexa Chung debut track
‘Blue Denim’.
Last year the trendy star was the first to
represent luxury retailer mytheresa.com in a
series of film and portraits for website, which is
profiling a fashion icon each month to discuss
their fashion musings and advice.
Mytheresa.com launched in 2006 and is home
to coveted brands - including Valentino,
Balenciaga and Saint Laurent - which are
often worn by Chung, and her effortless style
and expensive taste made her a fitting choice
for the company's launch.
Alexa Chung's new collection will complete her
"dream denim wardrobe".
"I found the trip incredibly inspiring and an
opportunity to learn about denim and make
things I had been dreaming about finding," she
said.
Besides her denim range, Alexa has also
collaborated with Nails Inc. recently. The
gorgeous model-turned-TV-presenter was
named the new face of the cosmetics company,
Nails Inc, taking over from former spokesmodel,

AG Appoints Skinmint As Exclusive
Distributor In China

Littlefield Denim Plant Shuts Down after 50 years
On 6th January, the
American Cotton
Growers Denim
manufacturing
plant in Littlefield
closed its doors,
leaving 340
employees
without a job. The
plant is the largest
employer in the Lamb
County community.
November, 2014 that they would shut down the
plant, citing industry pressures and foreign
competition. Since then, the community has
rallied behind the people who would soon be
without a job.
The South Plains Workforce Commission
organized a job fair in Littlefield, to help the
employees get back on their feet. The fair will be
held on Wednesday, and over 30 businesses
have already signed up to attend.
Mike Arismendez, City Manager of Littlefield,
said this is the largest loss of jobs the city of
Littlefield has ever seen. "We were notified 60
days ago that the American Cotton Growers was
shutting down," Arismendez said. "And today's
the 60th day."
“There is a lot of unanswered questions that we
have, but this community has rallied together,
continued to be steadfast, and continued to work
forward," Arismendez said. "And we will get
there, and we will have the opportunities that we
need to open up the plant again. So we are
resilient, and we will bounce back."

New Berlin trade show for authentic
heritage brands planned
A new Berlin trade
show for authentic,
heritage-conscious
men’s clothing, denim
goods, boots and
accessories is in the
making for summer
2015.
The team behind
Berlin-based denim
store Burg & Schild (that is Maria Klähn, owner
of the Selvedge Online GmbH and Burg & Schild
buyer Jörg Shane Brandenburg) has partnered
up with Andreas Becker, co-owner of the Circus
GbR which operates the the Circus Hostel, Hotel
and Apartments in Berlin, to create the concept
for ‘Selvedge Run’, which shall debut parallel to
the other Berlin fashion trade shows from July 79, 2015.
The organizers are already finalizing a renting
contract for an industrial-style location close to
the river Spree, which shall house 30-40 brands
on ca. 1,200 sqm plus outside spaces. As
explained by Jörg Shane Brandenburg, the
show wants to cooperate with the other Berlin
trade shows, for instance by installing (boat)
shuttles to Seek and Premium.
According to Brandenburg, the idea to initiate a
new Berlin trade show for authentic, qualityconscious brands with a handicraft-spirit, arose
in summer 2014, when Karl-Heinz Müller
revealed his plans to move his trade show Bread
& Butter to Barcelona.
“We want to close the gap that has arisen in
Berlin for the brands of our segment and have
already experienced a great feedback. Selvedge
Run will focus on work not on parties and will
offer a good price-performance ratio to make it
attractive also to US and Japanese brands to
exhibit here.”
Selvedge Run wishes to attract exhibitors from a
brand portfolio that is defined by names such as
Red Wing, Tanner Goods, Stetson, Filson, The
Real McCoy’s and many smaller handicraftlabels.
During the upcoming Berlin trade show days, the
organizers of Selvedge Run will host an evening
event in Berlin for invited brands, buyers and
press to reveal more information about the show.

The Kingpins Show is the inspiration of Olah Inc

Mr. Abbas Farid is the CEO of Element Jeans Co. He has been
associated with the textile industry since 1989 in various areas of
