Human remains spreadsheet

In accordance with the British Museum 's Policy on Human Remains, the Museum is committed to a policy of openness
about its holdings and transparency in dealing with any claims made to the Trustees under the terms of clause 47 of
the Human Tissue Act 2004.
The spreadsheet details the human remains in the collection of the British Museum . The majority (95%) of
the 8663 in the collection are over 1000 years old, including the Egyptian mummies and other remains collected
as a result of archaeological excavation. 4% are less than 300 years old.
