Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Successfully complete a minimum of 6 honors
courses or 18 honors units
Enroll in at least 2 honors courses per year
(F-T) or 1 (P-T)
Meet with the honors counselor (Sharon Wright) as
necessary
TAP (Transfer Alliance Program)

Geared for students interested in transferring to
UCLA (College of Letters and Science)






Must complete the SCC Honors Program
Completed or will be completing 60 UC transferable units,
including English 101 and college math
Opportunity to declare an alternate major
UCLA state-wide rate: 25%
SCC admit rate: 31%
SCC TAP admit rate: 76.5%

Honors to Honors Program



Only students who completed the SCC Honors
Program with a GPA of 3.7 or higher are
considered for H to H
Average GPA of students admitted to H to H was
3.8
Of the 14 SCC students who applied to UCI
and who were eligible for Honors to Honors,
ALL 14 were offered admissions and were
offered the UC Regents scholarship!
RECOMMENDATIONS
Attend a UC Direct Orientation
 Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher
 Attend at least one UC campus tour a year
(recommended)
 Complete TAG application

