7th Annual MCT Lip-Sync 2014
When: Saturday, April 5th, 4:30pm
Where: Parker Damon Cafeteria
Do you have a child who likes to sing and dance around the house? Do they
want to be the next Taylor Swift or One Direction? Then we have the event
for you!!!
Sign up individually or as a group and Lip-Sync to one of your favorite songs.
Kids, teachers and staff are all welcome. Dress for your song and have a
blast. Space is limited, so send in the completed form, lyrics and music soon!
Not sure you want to be on stage? That’s okay! We need audience members--lots of them! It’s only $5 admission charge to this fabulous event (this is not
a drop off event; all kids must have adult supervision).
Interested in volunteering? Parents, get in on the fun! We need volunteers
to make The Show a smashing success. Volunteers can help at the rehearsal
and/or the show. We also need bakers for the Bake Sale! To volunteer,

Don’t want the show to end? Pre-pay for a DVD of the event! It’s only $10 to
watch The Show over and over again. DVDs will be sent home once they are
available.

FORM, LYRICS and MUSIC MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MARCH 15, 2014
LIP-SYNC RULES AND REQUIREMENTS
•
You must submit written lyrics along with sign-up sheet (www.metrolyrics.com).
Songs must be family-friendly and the lyrics must be appropriate for Elementary
School. Lip-Sync organizers reserve the right to disapprove a song choice. If a
song is deemed inappropriate, a Kidz Bop version or editing could be a solution.
Parent Contacts will be notified if a change must be made.
•
You must provide the performance song on MP3 audio file to
(debverner@gmail.com) or send a CD with the sign-up form by Friday, March
15th.
•
Song length will be limited to 2 – 2 ½ minutes. You may cut the song yourself and
send on MP3 file or we will work with the acts to determine where to fade the song
within the allotted timeframe.
•
Performers sing individually or as a group. If performing as a group, you must
submit the group name AS WELL AS names of all the group members.
•
Students must be 2nd grade or up to perform individually.
•
Performer may be in no more than 2 acts. Performers are limited to one individual
act. Each group may only perform one song.
•
Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, April 3rd from 12:15pm-2pm is MANDATORY.
Required Dismissal forms and more information about the rehearsal will be sent
prior to April 3rd. Students must bring lunch.
•
At Dress Rehearsal, let us know if you will need any props, chair, or mat.
•
Costumes are welcome and encouraged! They must be family-friendly and school
appropriate.
•
For the Lip Sync Performance, you must arrive by 4:00 pm on Saturday.
