Description of Enhancement
Categorization of Security Notes (Patch Day Notes and Support Package Notes) in Support Portal
• Currently security notes are displayed without any categorization in the ‘Security Notes Search’ and ‘my Security Notes’ pages of SAP Support Portal.
• With the rollout of New Security Correction Shipment Strategy, the security notes need to be categorized in the Support Portal as ‘Patch Day Notes’ and ‘Support
Package Notes’(SPN) . ‘Patch Day Notes’ are the security notes released on SAP Security Patch Days and ‘Support Package Notes’ are the security notes that
are released to customers as part of Support Packages.
• Patch Day Notes solve all externally found security vulnerabilities and only V.High and High priority vulnerabilities reported internally.
• Support Package Notes solve internally found security vulnerabilities with Medium and Low priority.
• This categorization will allow any customer to search security notes based on the category and also to list all security notes (including both Patch Day notes and
Support Package Notes). When all security notes are listed, the new column ‘Category’ is introduced to differentiate the category of the security note.
